@HMRCcustomers Ok, thank you. My other question is that when I log in I receive a notification to update my address... but HMRC clearly has this correct as post arrived? And if I start to put in my address it tells me I need to notify that I have left the UK... but this was done 2 years ago?

@AJHiggins12 So if the amount of tax owed for 23 24 was £1000 or more, we'll have asked for 50% of that for 24 25 on 31 January 2025 and 31 July 2025. If you are able to file 24 25 now, then we'd recalculate that based on the actual figures, see gov.uk/understand-sel… Steve

@HMRCcustomers Yes, but how can the payment be due before I have received the bill calculating it? I had credit on my account from 22/23. And yes, there was also a request for payments on account for 24 25

@AJHiggins12 We can't arrange a call back for you here. The Payment for the 23 24 year was due by 31 January 25. so that will be overdue. Have we also asked for payments on account for 24 25? Steve

@HMRCcustomers So this is where I become more confused. I log on and see my Self Assessment bill (issued 13/03/2025), but it has a payment due for year 23/24 and also 24/25 ? But I only submitted my Self Assessment for 23/24 in Jan 2025? Is it possible for someone to call me about this?

@AJHiggins12 Hi Anna. The deadline for the online tax return is 31st January 2024. If you're outside the UK you normally need to use 3rd party commercial software to file online or file by post however the post deadline has passed in 31 October. Suchona
