Saw that @SIXR_cricket post and it nails something obvious too many Web3 projects start with a token a glossy whitepaper and promises of ownership before anyone actually built anything Starting token first is basically betting on loyalty without earning it When the product or community experience isn’t there the token becomes the only thing people talk about and that is how you get pumps, rug pulls and short lived attention Contrast that with projects that focus on real utility and fun first think early crypto games that had no token at launch but were genuinely enjoyable People stuck around because the experience was good and when tokens arrived later they felt deserved If we want to break the hype cycle treat tokens like encores not the opening act Build something people actually want to use grow the community around shared experiences and value then introduce tokens as a reward or enhancement That’s how you make something that survives bear markets and actually matters long term. I would love to hear examples of projects that pulled this off. there are a few out there and they’re worth studying
