@skibidditoilets @washingtonpost Reading is fundamental. That $170 annual pass for non-resident visitors who are not likely to spend more than 2 weeks visiting national parks. Again, typical fees I've encountered outside the US have bee $5-10 per day, some that for multiple days.

@AKaBooM34 @ChildrensHD That's the point, Kathy. He recognizes your right to choose as you see fit and would never force you to put anything into your body you don't want or deny you the opportunity to put into your body that which you want. You do understand that, yes?

💡 Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo says body sovereignty from vaccines is extremely important. “Your body comes from God.” “Your body is not the property of government to dictate what you must put in it.” “I mean, it’s not complicated. It’s literally just an absolute truth.” “It would be nice to see that in law.” @FLSurgeonGen

@Acyn It takes only 2 hours to drive from Columbus to Cincinnati, but Vivek has to fly?!? 🤦‍♀️This guy will waste so much of our Ohio tax dollars if elected. Just say NO.

Acton: [Ramaswamy] treats Ohio like a flyover state. He’ll take a corporate jet for a 90-minute trip from Columbus to Cincinnati, while I’m driving around the state in an old Jeep. The contrast couldn’t be greater. When you love Ohio the way I do, you don’t treat it like a flyover state. You don’t move your business from Ohio to Texas. You don’t pit Ohioans against each other with endless culture wars… My opponent offers “solutions” that Ohioans intuitively know make no sense. One example you mentioned: he says the way to fix our child care crisis is to extend the school day from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Trump's rushing to Kentucky today. He’s not there to honor the soldier from KY lost in his foolish war, nor address Kentuckians concerns on affordability. He’s there to help primary a Republican who pushed for the Epstein Files’ release.

Trump has no idea what he’s talking about. No, the Iranians don’t have Tomahawk missiles. Dozens of children are dead and the investigation into how this happened needs to be fast and transparent. That's how we keep this from happening again. We don’t need these deflections from the president or Hegseth running his mouth about "stupid rules of engagement."
Aaron Rupar@atrupar

RAJU: Footage shows an American missile likely destroyed the Iranian girls' school. Will the US accept any respons-- TRUMP: Well, I haven't seen it. I will say that the Tomahawk, which is one of the most powerful weapons around, is sold and used by other countries. Iran has some Tomahawks.

“Trust me when I tell you Donald was barely functional fifteen years ago when I worked with him. He has deteriorated to the point now that I worry about the fate of the world. He is as addicted a man as I have known - and the White House medical staff hides this from the public, as they have since 2017. Biden’s decline was the subject of constant handwringing in the mainstream press but somehow Trump’s obvious addictions still go unremarked upon in most of the media. It might be time to change that. Hitler was addicted to Pervitin (methamphetamine), as was much of the Nazi leadership. Hermann Göring took up to forty codeine and morphine pills a day. That’s a serious habit that would make most junkies blush. German soldiers used to refer to Pervitin as ‘Hermann-Göring-Pillen’, as the Nazi Party’s second in command’s addictions were so widely known. Evil often runs on substances that help override the conscious mind, and help overcome the anxieties of war. Trump has used a cocktail of uppers and downers for decades and it is no secret in his inner circle. Nor is he alone in his habits, though his are by far the most consequential for the fate and functioning of our nation. We are paying Trump’s salary to ruin our nation and stuff billions in his own pockets, all while he is getting high. There was a time when people referred to being POTUS as the most important job on the planet. To Trump it’s an inconvenience and an opportunity to steal. He will only take from this world and give nothing back. Except the chaos, destruction and death that has followed him his entire career; though the stakes were lower when his victims were his own casino executives and whatever collateral damage occurred from his mob associations. The Epstein years are a different matter entirely, and when the full extent of his depravity is known, it will come as no surprise that he treated the death of civilians in war as personal entertainment.” open.substack.com/pub/noelcasler…

In the last few years of my 22-year Army career I was a Public Affairs Officer. This is the most unprofessional and disgraceful press release I have ever seen in my life. They are torturing a family and releasing information without any official confirmation. Who is running the DOD public affairs? What kind of an idiot authorized this stupid statement? Our military and their families deserve so much better than this complete clown show of idiots.

“Short fingered vulgarian”. I produced Trump Casinos commercials for Jay Chiat in 1986. Trump hated them and refused to pay and wrote a vile, personal letter lambasting Jay. Jay took the letter and wrote on it “Deqr Donald. You need to alert your security. Some maniac has gotten hold of your stationary. Jay”
Kurt Andersen@KBAndersen

At Spy we covered Trump correctly and, as it turned out, presciently. Lately these two bits have seemed especially apt and well-aged —a bit from our first issue in 1986 and a brilliant cartoon by Bruce Handy (@henryfingjames) for our 1990 NBC TV show. youtu.be/oCN_uISlJ-k?si…

Some ask: How can you blame RFK or the current administration for measles cases in people unvaccinated years ago? Fair question on the surface, but the policy failure is clear: Appointing RFK - a longtime vaccine skeptic who led the anti-vax misinformation group Children's Health Defense - as HHS Secretary. His 2019 Samoa visit fueled hesitancy amidst a devastating measles outbreak that killed 83, mostly kids. Now, his policies - like overhauling the CDC childhood immunization schedule to drop routine recommendations for key shots - are eroding broad protection and trust in MMR, and have further undermined confidence and infrastructure amid surging cases (1,136 confirmed in 2026 so far - on pace to shatter records). The first step in any outbreak is rapid, clear messaging urging at-risk people in affected communities to get vaccinated (especially MMR for those eligible). But outbreaks are spreading like wildfire (instead of being stopped) because mistrust was seeded over the past decade -in no small part by our current Secretary- key outbreak response specialists and programs were "DOGE'd," and current leadership isn't aggressively promoting the gold-standard measures we know work: strong vaccination drives, contact tracing, and isolation without mixed signals. These are all current policy decisions. This is about platforming doubt and dismantling response systems when we need them most. Hope this helps! 💉👍🏽
