Users can now easily 'choose' the strategy in their heads from our wizard, add about up to 15 conditions, and deploy the contract on chain to take place in our 3way pvp race. Our open beta test is on #mumbaipolygon testnet, so feel free to drop by and try your strategy out!

As ALAP Race isn't a CTF challenge, we wanted to lower the huddle for non-devs, people who are not used to writing smart contracts and deploying them. We created UX/UI for non-devs to select the strategy they want, and created a wizard for deploying smart contract cars.

But as a fork from 0xmonaco, the same GDA mechanisms were chosen to reflect supply & demand for specific 'moves', to fluctuate prices and create broader strategies.

Not to mention that there's more economic factors people have to keep in mind when managing resources. Getting hit and re-accelerating vs shielding could be one thing you might want to keep in mind when submitting your smart contract car.

In 0xmonaco, what most people did was hanging behind until the end game, and then start attacking and speeding, and flip the result of the race. But by implementing the 'shield', hanging behind is no longer the 'smart' race in ALAP Race.

We also added a 'shield', which was not a "move" you could make in the original 0xmonaco, to make things more dynamic. In the original game, there was no shield, meaning that there's a 100% chance for you to get hit when you're speeding in 1st place.

First of all, we added a leaderboard like 0xmonaco did, and this is what happened. Some players who came from communities, changed their leaderboard names into the names of their community. Others, created player names resembling each other as a sign of solidarity.

Putting 0xmonaco in mind, a free-to-play 0xmonaco fork, ALAP Race, modified version of the original 0xmonaco, open beta test is coming. Here's what's different. #OBT #Web3gaming #fullyonchain

The fact that the race is between 3 players, also makes dramatic, dynamic situations where players face hard times to improvise their strategies. As a CTF challenge and a game, devs had to focus on creating a better strategy. But we thought, "what if a non-dev wants to play?"

Web3 natives are used to competition and unpredictability. A pvp racing game lit a fire in people's minds, trying to outsmart other players, and making unpredictable moves so others can't prepare against them are all the things people in web3 are experienced in.

What made 0xmonaco so exciting? The leaderboard. High ranked devs gained reputation on the ELO based leaderboard, spotlighting low-fame high-skill devs. People were able to identify their talents, resulting in people devoting their time to elaborate their strategies.

3) Countering attacks. This strategy is the most popular strategy we found during our Alpha Test. The strategy focuses on maintaining a steady speed and shielding attacks, and attacking those speeding in front.

2) Relative Speed/Position strategies focus on you and your opponent's speed & position. The key is to attack, shield, and accelerate to maintain a steady speed/distance towards end game and start playing aggressive when there's a chance for winning.

During end game, not enough resources attack, accelerate, getting struct by a speeding opponent wouldn't be something you want to face. That's why you might want to manage your resources.

In certain cases, buying several attacks to skyrocket the prices are effective against strategies without resource management by making opponents broke, thus preventing opponents from retaliating.

1) Economic strategies are focused on resource management. The key idea is about whether to buy or not buy a particular action when that action reaches a specific price, depending on you & youropponent's remaining resources.
