ATTENTION!! The @alabamapower Foundation has announced their Power to Play Grant opening for this fall! This grant program offers two types of grants to expand opportunities and increase student participation in arts and athletics programs.

Today we’re highlighting the United Way of West Alabama! ACJF’s 2024 grant will enable UWWA to expand Success by 6 and early childhood resources throughout their service area. We have invested in UWWA’s programs since 2021 and are happy to support their work with families!

ATTENTION TEACHERS!!! GoFundMe is providing $500 grants for teachers this school year! ACJF strongly encourages you to apply for this grant for that extra support this school year!

This Monday we’re highlighting one of our amazing 2024 grantees, United Cerebral Palsy of Alabama! ACJF has worked with United Cerebral Palsy since 2011, and we are excited to be investing in expansion of an evidence-based early intervention program to Madison County.

Today we’re highlighting Auburn University’s Cary Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies! A huge thank you to the Cary Center for working to increase the capacity of our nonprofit sector!

For 23 years, @teamfocusorg has partnered with South Alabama families who are missing a father figure. ACJF celebrates Team Focus for investing in our youth so they can see and be the best versions of themselves.

This Monday we’d like to highlight the @Forge_bcsc Breast Cancer Survivor Center! This amazing group offers support for breast cancer patients, survivors, and their families. On behalf of our members and the many Alabamians served, we applaud Forge for their amazing work!

This weekend we’re highlighting an amazing resource from the @AlabamaStateBar- the online platform Justice4AL.com! It is a website with quick links and easy access to resources for those who need legal assistance yet are intimidated by the process.

This Thursday we’d like to highlight @thriveby5 and the Department of Human Resources’ Child Care Stability Grant! We encourage all child care programs to consider applying for this grant; the deadline is approaching- Aug. 12, 2024! Information can be found on the APC’s website.

Today we’re highlighting @HICA_Alabama, or ¡HICA! They are an amazing resource and advocate for Latino communities in Alabama. ¡HICA! serves 3,500+ Latino families every year, and over 85% of their constituents are of low/moderate-income.

The Alabama Department of Public Health’s Comprehensive Cancer Control Program is providing funding for AL Title I public schools’ efforts to install structures that protect students and staff from the sun. The deadline for this grant is August 9th, 2024!

Yesterday we were devastated to learn that Justice Kennedy, one of the founders of ACJF, succumbed to his battle with cancer. We say thank you for all your good works and Godspeed, Justice Kennedy! We send our love to the Kennedy family.

This week we’re highlighting @GOTRBham, another one of our 2024 Grantees. ACJF is very happy to support GOTR’s investment in the development of physically and mentally healthy young women!

Today we’d like to highlight one of our grantee’s amazing resources, Montgomery Volunteer Lawyers Program’s new EASY EVIDENCE Booklet! The booklet simplifies all processes and motions for both district and circuit volunteer attorneys. We are grateful for their hard work!

This Wednesday we’re highlighting another one of our 2024 Grantees, the Valiant Cross Academy! It is a private school in Montgomery that focuses on the educational development of young men. ACJF is incredibly proud to have supported Valiant Cross Academy since 2021!

Today we’d like to highlight @DumasWesley! This Mobile-based incredible organization strengthens the fabric of families by offering a range of guidance and services. ACJF has invested in Dumas Wesley for 5 years, and many women/children continue to benefit from their services!
