On March 18, 2026, #ADOC Narcotics and K-9 officers executed a residential search warrant in Madison, Ala. Laquita Shanta Edwards was arrested and transported to the Bibb County Jail on a Trafficking warrant. This investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be pending.

On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, #ADOC K-9 and the Barbour County Sheriff’s Office arrested Larry Jerome Pinkston Marshal and Eddie Cortez Smith in the vicinity of Ventress Correctional Facility on several charges. This investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be pending.
