Ahead of the upcoming Investment Council meeting, the Secretariat conducted an online survey with 163 companies—gathering insights on how businesses view the digitalisation of local government services: what works, what doesn’t, and what should come next. The dialogue continues.

Today marks 10 years since the establishment of Albania’s Investment Council — a key platform for structured public-private dialogue. With 350+ recommendations and strong stakeholder engagement, it continues to support evidence-based reforms on Albania’s path to EU integration.

Our Secretariat, in partnership w/ @IdpAlbania & FIAA hosted a dialogue with 40+ businesses on the new Data Protection Law. The discussion covered key compliance obligations, challenges, & the need for stronger institutional support to help businesses adapt to the new framework.

In the upcoming meeting, the IC will discuss business challenges with local government services. As municipalities go digital, sustainable investments in technology and expertise are key—both from public institutions (digital government) and the private sector (digital business).
