How are people still tricked by this god stuff in 2026? I get it in 1026 when your entire world was a square mile in size. We see 13 billion light years in to the universe now and have science and technology. I don’t get it.

It sounds like you are invoking a particular god and projecting your morals and expectations on to him. Generally a creator is out side of his creation by definition. The man who invented the computer isn’t inside it running around flipping switches. You create and let it run its course. If we are to follow your train of thought. Every living things would have to be mindless drones without free will. To ensure there is no violence and other input of suffering. Your reply was not scientific evidence at all but a moral equivalence inference. I could just as easily state the complexity of our existence “proves” there is a creative force.

We are in agreement I think. When no one knows. It’s not rational to perceive the opposing view point like they are stupid. To be confident, incredulous and disparaging to others on this topic is rude. The point of my initial reply was to outline the hypocrisy of such statements when the jury is still deliberating.

Maybe Matt is just saying he doesn't know and decides not to pretend. At least he is honest with himself.
