Yesterday we had a wonderful neighbors night where we partnered up with HomeFirst to assemble couple big bags of hygiene kits for homeless people in the Silicon Valley, we also enjoyed delicious dinner after this volunteering opportunity. If you missed this time, you can any join us next month, we host neighbors night on the second Thursday of every month

Scholars and scientists in recent times have endorsed the positive effect of spirituality and spiritual practice on overall well-being, with psychiatric literature increasingly recognising applied spirituality as both preventive and healing. In neuroscience, prayer is studied as a mind–brain practice influencing emotional regulation, attention, and behaviour through measurable neural pathways and brain systems. Spirituality is described as something consisting of or having the nature of spirit, intangible and immaterial, originating from the Latin “spiritus” meaning “to breathe”. It involves connection to something greater than oneself, including a transcendental relationship with a non-material reality referred to as God, shaping meaning, purpose and direction in life. Prayer, whether solo or congregational, is a core spiritual act of communication with a higher power, helping individuals reflect on strengths, shortcomings, and existence. It is increasingly understood not as passive, but as an active cognitive–emotional practice that stabilises behaviour, anchors hope, and enhances coping in difficulty and recovery. From a neuroscientific view, prayer and meditation engage brain networks involved in attention, self-awareness and emotional control. Research suggests prayer activates the parasympathetic nervous system, the “rest and digest” state, lowering cortisol, stimulating the vagus nerve, and improving heart rate, blood pressure, sleep and inflammation. It also interacts with the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, reducing chronic stress responses linked to anxiety and depression. Functional imaging (fMRI, SPECT) shows increased activity in the prefrontal cortex, linked to executive function and impulse control, and reduced activity in the amygdala, associated with fear, aggression and anxiety. Decreased parietal lobe activity during deep prayer and meditation is linked with reduced self-boundaries and a greater sense of unity. Prayer also modulates the default mode network (DMN), reducing mind-wandering, rumination and self-referential thinking, especially through structured repetition and focused remembrance. In neurochemical terms, it supports serotonin and dopamine regulation, strengthening mood stability, motivation and reward pathways. Within emerging neurotheology, spirituality is explored as potentially “hardwired” through neuronal networks shaped by repeated practice and experience. Long-term prayer and mindfulness practices demonstrate neuroplasticity, strengthening hippocampal regions involved in memory and learning while reducing stress reactivity in the amygdala. Structured prayer, zikr, and meditation therefore function as repeated cognitive training, fostering resilience, compassion, attention control and emotional balance. Neuroscience increasingly suggests that prayer and meditation reshape both brain function and structure, integrating psychological, physiological and spiritual well-being into a unified model of mental health. پریس ریلیز: 🇵🇰 محب وطن پاکستانی احمدیوں کو عبادات سے روکنا انسانی حقوق کی سنگین خلاف ورزی ہے عید الفطر کے مقدس دن پنجاب میں بعض مقامات پر احمدیوں سے عبادت گاہیں خالی کرا کے فریضہ عید کی ادائیگی سے پولیس نے زبردستی روک دیا۔ چار دیواری میں بھی مذہب پر عمل کرنے کی اجازت نہ دے کر سپریم کورٹ کے فیصلہ کی واضح خلاف ورزی کی جا رہی ہے۔:ترجمان جماعت احمدیہ پاکستان چناب نگر۔پ ر۔عید کے روز 21 مارچ 2026 کو پنجاب پولیس نے بعض مقامات پر حکومت پنجاب کے احکامات کا حوالہ دے کر احمدیوں کو عید کی عبادت سے روکتے ہوئے احمدیو ں کو ہراساں کیا اور عبادت گاہوں کو زبردستی خالی کرا کے تالے لگا دیے۔ تفصیلات کے مطابق پنجاب کے چند اضلاع میں پولیس نے احمدیوں کو عید کی عبادت سے روک دیا۔ گوجرانوالہ میں انتظامیہ نے عید کی عبادت سے منع کر دیا۔ سیالکوٹ میں 6 مقامات میں انتظامیہ نے عید کی عبادت نہیں کرنے دی۔ فیصل آباد میں پولیس نے احمدی عبادت گاہ کو زبردستی خالی کروا لیا۔ سرگودھا میں مختلف مقامات پر پولیس نے احمدی عبادت گاہوں کو خالی کروا کر تالے لگا دیے گئے۔ ترجمان جماعت احمدیہ پاکستان عامر محمود نے انتظامیہ کی جانب سے محب وطن اور پرامن احمدیوں کو عید کی عبادت سے روکنے پر افسوس کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ مذہبی عقائد اور ان پر عمل کرنے کی آزادی ایک مسلمہ انسانی حق ہے جسے انسانی حقوق کے عالمی منشور میں دفعہ 18اور آئین پاکستان کے آرٹیکل 20میں تسلیم کرتے ہوئے اس کی ضمانت دی گئی ہے۔سرکاری انتظامیہ کی جانب سے احمدیوں کو عید کی عبادت کرنے سے روکنے کے بلاجواز اقدامات آئین پاکستان کے آرٹیکل 20 اور جسٹس منصور علی شاہ صاحب اور جسٹس امین الدین خان صاحب پر مشتمل سپریم کورٹ کے دورکنی بینچ کے12 جنوری 2022 کو دیے گئے فیصلے کی واضح خلاف ورزی ہیں۔ سپریم کورٹ نے Cr1.P.916-L/2021میں قرار دیا تھا کہ احمدی اپنی چار دیواری کے اندر اپنے مذہب پر عمل کرنے کی مکمل آزادی رکھتے ہیں۔ ترجمان نے مزید کہا کہ ریاست پاکستان کے ذمہ دار متعدد بار واضح کر چکے ہیں کہ پاکستان میں انتہا پسندی کو کسی قیمت پر برداشت نہیں کیا جائے گا۔ ریاست کے اعلیٰ حکام کی جانب سے واضح اور دوٹوک موقف کے باوجود بعض جگہ پر انتظامیہ کے چند افسران نے احمدیوں کو عید کی عبادت سے بلاجواز روکا جس سے وطن عزیز کی نیک نامی کو ٹھیس پہنچی۔ ترجمان نے مطالبہ کیا کہ آئین پاکستان کی مذہبی آزادی کی ضمانت اور ریاست کے ذمہ داران کی جانب سے انتہا پسندی کو مسترد کرنے کے عزم کو انتظامیہ کے اقدامات میں بھی جھلکنا چاہئے اور احمدیوں کے حقوق کی پامالی سے باز آجانا چاہئے۔### alfazl.com/2026/03/25/147…

During his Friday Sermon today, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Caliph and World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community said: "The conditions of war continue to gravely worsen. The United States and Israel are attempting to assert their dominance in the whole world, especially within the Muslim world. When the war in Palestine first started, the Israeli Prime Minister said that Israel 'will change the face of the entire region.' So, these efforts are now aimed at reshaping the map, and the Muslim world should recognise what their motives are and the critical need for unity amongst Muslims. It has been reported that Pakistan is attempting to mediate between Iran and the United States and the Arab states, as the Arab nations are suffering. Certain groups in Iran are suspicious about this, including some analysts, who are asserting that Pakistan is allying itself with American forces and assisting those who wage war against Iran. This is entirely incorrect, and Pakistan has denied these claims. The opponents of the Muslim world seek to exploit these circumstances to create unrest so that Muslim countries are unable to support one another. Therefore, there is a great need for prayers. May Allah grant us the ability to pray in this regard as well, and enable the Muslim world to be united.

📢 LATEST: Escalating global conflict and urgent need for Muslim unity During his Friday sermon, delivered on 27 March 2026, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V (aa), highlighted the worsening global conflicts and the explicit intentions of world powers to establish hegemony over the Muslim world, urged Muslim nations to recognise these divisive schemes and unite and called for earnest prayers for their solidarity. He said: “The conditions of war, too, are becoming worse and worse. America and Israel are striving to establish their hegemony over the whole world and especially over the Muslim world. As the Israeli [Prime Minister] said when the war in Palestine began and the first attack was launched, ‘now the map of this region – indeed, even of the Arab countries – will be changed’. So, these are attempts to change that map. “The Muslim world, too, ought to realise the direction in which they are heading and that it is most necessary for them to become one. It is heard that Pakistan is trying to bring about reconciliation with America involving Iran and those [affected] countries, because the Arab countries too are suffering loss in the midst of all this; thus, from that standpoint, Pakistan is making efforts. Even over this, some circles in Iran have developed misgivings, thinking that this is wrong and they have even gone so far as to level accusations. Indeed, in certain circles in Iran, it has begun to be said – among educated people or among analysts – that Pakistan, in its own territory along the Iranian border, is training or aiding American forces, or is assisting such people as would wage war against Iran. In any case, this is entirely false. Pakistan has denied it. In reality, the enemy seeks to take advantage of these circumstances and create unrest so that Muslim countries may never be able to support one another. “Therefore, there is a great need for prayers. May Allah the Exalted grant us the ability to pray in this regard as well and may He also enable the Muslim countries to be strung together in a bond of unity. Amin.”

Turning to Allah in Times of Trial “Therefore, today, when the world in general has become absorbed in the pursuit of its own aims and interests, and when personal interests are given priority, nations are concerned only for their own people and not for humanity as a whole. By becoming engrossed in this attitude, they are in fact preparing the means of their own destruction. In such circumstances, we should turn our attention toward seeking the blessings of both this world and the hereafter from Allah the Almighty. We must strive to set right both our worldly life and our hereafter, and remain protected from every kind of calamity. As I have mentioned, the world is moving toward a pit of destruction. May Allah the Almighty protect us from it. حضرت مسیح موعودؑ فرماتے ہیں خدائے تعالیٰ نے ہمیں یہ تعلیم نہیں دی کہ ہم نامحرم عورتوں کو بلا تکلف دیکھ تو لیاکریں اور ان کی تمام زینتوں پر نظرڈال لیں اور ان کے تمام انداز ناچناوغیرہ مشاہدہ کرلیں لیکن پاک نظر سے دیکھیں اور نہ یہ تعلیم ہمیں دی ہے کہ ہم ان بیگانہ جوان عورتوں کا گانا بجانا سن لیں اور ان کے حسن کے قصے بھی سنا کریں لیکن پاک خیال سے سنیں بلکہ ہمیں تاکید ہے کہ ہم نامحرم عورتوں کو اور ان کی زینت کی جگہ کو ہرگز نہ دیکھیں۔ نہ پاک نظر سے اور نہ ناپاک نظر سے۔ اور ان کی خوش الحانی کی آوازیں اور ان کے حسن کے قصے نہ سنیں۔ نہ پاک خیال سے اور نہ ناپاک خیال سے۔ بلکہ ہمیں چاہئے کہ ان کے سننے اور دیکھنے سے نفرت رکھیں جیسا کہ مردار سے تا ٹھوکر نہ کھاویں۔ کیونکہ ضرور ہے کہ بے قیدی کی نظروں سے کسی وقت ٹھوکریں پیش آویں۔ سو چونکہ خدا تعالیٰ چاہتا ہے کہ ہماری آنکھیں اور دل اور ہمارے خطرات سب پاک رہیں اس لئے اس نے یہ اعلیٰ درجہ کی تعلیم فرمائی۔ اس میں کیا شک ہے کہ بے قیدی ٹھوکر کا موجب ہو جاتی ہے alfazl.com/2026/01/15/143…
