I think Simeone has quietly improved Atleti significantly over this past season or two. Purposeful is the word - both on and off the ball.
They’re fluid, dynamic and aggressive. Probably underperformed in the league, but in a cup tie? Undoubtedly a big threat.
I’m still confident, but going into a tie like this without someone like Raphinha makes things considerably more complicated.
Regardless, I think we’re in for a lot of entertainment. A great advert for Spanish football.
