Took a minute to write down my thoughts. President Trump has been great in many ways, and I hope and believe that will continue. But a number of developments over the last 24 hours have raised some eyebrows. The administration signed an MOU with Iran but has not released the details. That created a vacuum, and Iran immediately moved to shape the narrative. We were then told Lebanon is part of the agreement, that Israel was not involved in negotiating it, yet Israel is expected to abide by it and limit operations against Hezbollah. Then came a series of statements that raised even more questions. President Trump criticized Israel’s handling of Hezbollah, suggested former al-Qaeda leader should deal with the Hezbollah problem, and said that without him Israel would not exist. Trump also announced that Qatar, one of the principal sponsors of the Muslim Brotherhood, would invest $19.2 trillion in the United States. When Vice President Vance was asked why the MOU has not been released, he said the rollout was being sequenced at the request of Iran, Pakistan, and Qatar because of sensitivities in the Arab and Muslim world. At the same time, open source shipping data is already showing Iranian oil exports moving again. Meanwhile, Iran appears increasingly emboldened, publicly threatening retaliation against Israel, accusing it of violating the Lebanon ceasefire dozens of times, and warning that a harsh response may follow. The United States currently holds enormous leverage over Iran. Many of us simply want to ensure that leverage is preserved, not surrendered, before the public, Congress, and America’s allies fully understand what is in this agreement. Transparency would answer a lot of questions.

THE MOU IS ONLY 1.5 PAGES! According to CNN, the U.S.-Iran MOU was intentionally written in broad language to create room for further negotiations while allowing both Washington and Tehran to sell the deal differently at home. U.S. officials reportedly said that key understandings reached through back-channel talks are not fully reflected in the text itself.

A separate Lebanon clause is included in the U.S.-Iran MOU, per Haaretz citing a Pakistani source. Israel interprets the language as permitting continued military operations there. "Everyone gets something in this deal, and Israel gets that," the source said. A second source described the clause as "very vaguely worded" but confirmed Israel reads it as allowing continued fighting in Lebanon.

למה תמיד עוצרים אותנו ולא את הערבים? בכל המלחמות לא היה אי פעם מצב בו העולם עצר את הערבים מלכבוש ולהרוג את היהודים. פשוט לא היה. אבל העולם מיהר לעצור את ישראל בכל פעם שהוא זיהה שישראל מתקדמת, כובשת, מנצחת וסוף סוף מתגברת על אויביה. כשאני אומר העולם אני כולל בזה גם את אמריקה, כמובן את אירופה, האו"ם וגם הערבים כמובן. זו הקונספציה הכי משמעותית שיש לישראל לא מה-6/10 אלא כבר 70 שנה. הפעם היחידה שפרצנו את הקונספציה הזו, הייתה במלחמת ששת הימים. זו הייתה הפעם היחידה שיזמנו מלחמה, ריסקנו את האויבים שלנו ועשינו את זה בכל הכוח ובמהירות. זה הביא לנו שטחים אדירים (סיני, איו"ש ורמת הגולן) שמהם יכולנו להתגונן. בזכות המלחמה הזו אנחנו קיימים פה 78 שנים. אלמלא ששת הימים היינו מזמן היסטוריה. עלינו לחזור לנרטיב של ששת הימין: יוזמה מפתיעה, כיבושים אדירים, סיפוח שטחים (סיפחנו את רמת הגולן, סיפחנו חלקים מאיו"ש ולמרבה הצער לא סיפחנו את סיני ולכן גם וויתרנו עליה, שטות מוחלטת).

Hezbollah is launching missiles at Israeli civilians, and before that Iran brought down an American Apache helicopter. They work together. So should you. Stop chasing ceasefires. Confront the regime and its militias together, or shamefully keep making excuses while your enemies act and humanity pays the price.
