Last night, our teams coordinated a rare triple ground evacuation from 𝗔𝗴𝗮 𝗞𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 (𝗔𝗞𝗨𝗛) to 𝗝𝗼𝗺𝗼 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 (𝗝𝗞𝗜𝗔) in support of an assistance partner, ensuring each patient received 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 from bedside to aircraft. Over the past week, our teams responded to medical evacuations and provided standby cover under the 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻, supporting individuals, travellers, and schools when medical care was needed. The missions included evacuations for 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 and 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 clients, as well as medical standby support for school sports days through 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿. Yesterday, AMREF Flying Doctors held a major Corporate Social Responsibility initiative in Mwihoko, Ruiru Sub-County, bringing together government leaders, partners, and community members for a day centered on health, education, and community wellbeing. The highlight of the CSR Day was the commitment to 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 at 𝗠𝘂𝘁𝘂𝘆𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, expanding learning space and strengthening the school’s learning environment for current and future students. Last week was yet another busy and successful week for AMREF Flying Doctors, delivering medical evacuations and repatriations across Africa and beyond. When calls come in and time is critical, our teams move fast to ensure patients receive life-saving care right when they need it most. From Air Ambulance missions and Ground Ambulance transfers to Maisha client evacuations and international repatriations, we supported patients across Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Somaliland, Eritrea, Cameroon, and Sweden, among other regions. One of the transfers included a repatriation back home to Sweden after a long hospitalisation in Nairobi, carefully coordinated with full medical oversight to ensure the patient travelled safely and comfortably throughout the journey. Every mission reflects our unwavering commitment to safety, speed, and clinical excellence. A critically ill premature infant was safely evacuated from Somalia to Nairobi aboard our air ambulance, supported by a specialised neonatal transport medical team and the latest state-of-the-art life-support equipment, including a neonatal incubator, ensuring continuous critical care throughout the journey.
