Dr. Stephanie Chadwick is an associate professor of modern and contemporary art history and the chair of the Dept. of Art & Design at Lamar. As part of AMSET's Taste of the Arts Lecture Series, she will give a talk on Alicia Eggert: All the Light You See this Friday, June 28.

An artist talk titled, Light As Art: Alicia Eggert in conversation with Dr. Marin R. Sullivan, will be held in AMSET's Lecture Hall at 7:15 p.m. during the opening reception this Friday, April 19. Supported by Humanities Texas.

AMSET is proud to present Alicia Eggert: All the Light You See, on view April 13 – July 7, 2024. All the Light You See will focus on light as a medium and include two site-specific installations, as well as several neon signs, lenticular prints, and an outdoor installation.

Phil Brannan: Artistry in Wood Final day to view: Sunday, March 17 Brannan is a local Southeast Texas woodcarver, specializing in realistic fish sculptures. This is the first time his sculptures have been exhibited in a public art space outside of competitions.

Artwork by Southeast Texas high school seniors, selected for the Annual Protégé Competition and Exhibition, will be on display from March 2nd to the 24th at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET). kfdm.com/news/local/ams…

In its 38th year, the Protégé Competition and Exhibition, presented by Market Basket, was created to encourage graduating high school seniors to begin taking the steps necessary to become a part of the world of art. AMSET will host an opening reception on Tuesday, March 5 @ 6 PM.
