I feel like at least a few ChatGPT logins for my different personalities. Just when it starts to think it knows me, I throw it a curveball.

There are few better excuses for an early spring escape to wine country that riding with me and then all the luxurious recovery. 👑 On March 21, I’ll be joining @stanlyranch Collection for Ride & Recover with a Pro — a morning that pairs vineyard-lined roads with guided recovery and a farm-to-table lunch designed to nourish and restore. Set against the rolling hills of Carneros, this experience blends endurance and elegance — where the ride is intentional, the recovery is structured, and the hospitality is unmistakably @AUBERGERESORTS. For those in Napa — or those looking for a reason to be — consider this your personal invitation. Spots are limited and reservations are open below. auberge.com/stanly-ranch/e…

I’m not walking out of 2025 and into 2026 lighter. And no, bike nerds 🤓, I’m not talking about the scale 💁🏼‍♀️. I feel a little denser. Even if my bones disagree. I’m not really a resolution person. Though once, I resolved to stop chewing my nails—and it worked. My cuticles thank me. 💅🏼 (And the nail salon 💰.) I couldn’t tie a bow 🎀 on last year. I still can’t. Maybe I never will fully wrap my head around it. And yet—this year is a gift 🎁 all the same. A very special one. There are no shortcuts to the good stuff. And each day, my friends, is the good stuff. You don’t get polished and shiny without being cracked and boiled along the way—until, when all is said and done, only what matters stays. We are liquid gold. Like a California poppy. Cream rising to the top through the hard times, shining straight through our madness. May your year be a steady endurance of love and embraces, with sprints and bursts of exuberance and euphoria. May the lows be brief, and the sweeping valleys come with a clear trail that meanders back up to your beautiful vantage point. I wish you a body that shows you its edges, a heart that stays open anyway, and a life that keeps you electrically present—so present it burns, but only in the good ways. Like a brand on your heart. Or a tattoo? Sorry, I am a cowgirl, and don’t have any tattoos because of my short attention span and commitment issues. But a brand... anyway. Cheers to us. 🥂 I don’t have a takeaway. Maybe that’s the point. Not everything needs to make sense right away—if ever. I still believe there’s a plan for us. For hope. For a future. (Jer. 29:11) We’re moving forward with momentum. Not always fast—but deliberate. Sometimes scattered—but true to ourselves. And most importantly, real. We don’t need conclusions. Just forward motion and faith. And another sunrise 🌅. Another day. Another gift. We need each other. Thank you. 🖤 Welcome, 2026. ✨

When he tells you not to worry… and you realize 90% of the things you worry about never happen. Therefore: you are helping. I will be here, spinning, helping us all. Anxiety 🤝 risk management.

A picture that is worth far more than a thousand ... dollars and airplane tickets and ... wow professional cycling is expensive ... but worth it... This photo hangs framed in our house now — it used to hang in Grampy’s. Taken by Graham Watson, it captures a moment that made me feel like a real professional cyclist — aero position and all. It was Grampy’s favorite, probably because I was managing to hold my aero position that we had worked so hard on. That race taught me something I’ve carried far beyond race results: You can’t sit on the sidelines or at home comparing yourself to others, saying “I could’ve done that.” or "I would have been better than so and so." You have to show up. You have to be in it — willing to risk failure — not just to win, but to grow, to learn, to find out who you are when it matters most. You can't compare yourself unless you are willing to be there. Investing in yourself isn’t easy. It’s uncomfortable, expensive, and sometimes even reckless. (Just ask my European plane tickets and grad school loans.) But if not you, who? When I raced WorldTour, my season always ended at Chrono des Nations — a one-day time trial in Les Herbiers, France. Twenty-five kilometers of solitude, rain, and the French countryside in October. The first year, I was told there was no point in going unless I knew I could win. I didn’t know. But I went anyway — for me. I was coming back from my TBI and wasn’t sure I “deserved” to be a professional athlete anymore (oh honey, I would love to go back and give you a big hug and tell you that YES you deserve to be whatever you want to be). Was I good enough? Did I belong? That second place finish was a resounding win for me. And it earned me another contract. Three years, three second places. And every one felt like victory. Because showing up for yourself is always a win. Now, I don’t really have a “season.” Life doesn’t come in race calendars or training blocks anymore. But I’ve learned there’s a time for everything — a time to chase, a time to rebuild, and a time to believe. I still look at this photo with pride. Remember how much it hurts to go that fast, but also how much it hurts to care that much and try that hard. But how worth it is in the end. It reminds me: You don’t have to win to belong. You always deserve to be there. You just have to keep showing up. There is a season for it all. And boy, do I have some stories of these seasons.

What if the runner-up European Champion could wear the jersey if the winner had to wear another jersey that trumps the EC one? Like in stage races? It is a pretty jersey and I like to see it in the peloton. #EuroRoad25

My brain: There is nothing to be anxious about. My body: Ok, but hear me out. What if we panicked anyway. Just for funsies.
