This from @yarotrof gets at an important point: "Even if Trump were to leave Iran in control of the Strait of Hormuz under pressure from markets or voters seeking a quick end to the war, the arrangement likely won't be sustainable for a long time, leading to an imminent new round of warfare." Again, the Iranian strategy might end up achieving the opposite of its intended effect: instead of deterring future conflicts, it will invite them wsj.com/world/middle-e…

Opinion: After decades of temporary buffer zones, Israel may need a civilian presence in southern Lebanon to prevent Hezbollah’s return. jpost.com/opinion/articl…

If I understand Israel’s argument: we cannot allow Iran to have assets capable of threatning us when we attack them

🇺🇸🇮🇷⚡️BREAKING: Iran releases footage of a direct hit on a US F-35 fighter jet by air defense forces. This is the first ever hit on the 5th generation fighter jet.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir says attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinian civilians and Israeli soldiers in the West Bank are "morally and ethically unacceptable" and cause "extraordinary strategic damage" to the military. "Recently, there has been an increase in nationalist crime incidents, some of which are directed directly against our soldiers and toward the civilian population," Zamir says during a visit to the Central Command today. "It is unacceptable that during a multi-front war, the IDF is forced to also contend with a threatening minority from within," he says, according to remarks provided by the IDF. Zamir calls the assailants "rioters who do not represent the settlements." "On the contrary, they endanger the settlements, security, stability, and our values as a people and as a state," he says. "I call on all authorities in the country to stand against this phenomenon and uproot it before it is too late. Anyone who thinks these actions help security is mistaken; they are morally and ethically unacceptable, and they create extraordinary strategic damage to the IDF's efforts," he adds.

Lebanon war leaves a classroom of children hurt or dead every day, UN says reut.rs/4bQliv1 reut.rs/4bQliv1

This is a battle that Iran can only lose. If it goes all out against Gulf infrastructure it will force Gulf airforces to take out what remains of Iran’s oil and gas. Iran will then be totally destitute for a decade. Gulf states have the resources to recover more easily than Iran.

IDF soldier describing his commander murdering a child: "We went out with him on the first patrol…There's not a soul in the streets, just a little 4-year-old boy playing…The commander…grabs the boy, and breaks his arm..and his leg..Stepped on his stomach three times and left."

Broad shift in attitudes toward Palestine and Israel. It's not just woke college kids on TikTok. It's middle-aged Independents who still read the newspaper.

Iranian regime keeps running out of missiles and also played every card they had in their possession. Stopping the war now would be the worst decision for Trump. Not saying this because I support the US or Israel but it’s my objective view from outisde.

🚨🚨🚨Scoop: The French government has drafted a proposal to end the war in Lebanon that would require the Lebanese government to take the unprecedented step of recognizing Israel. The U.S. and Israel are reviewing the proposal. My story on @axios axios.com/2026/03/14/isr…
