Last night in Nashville was a powerful moment as our community came together in a profound way. Truth was shared by all, as we recommitted to preparing for peace together. We gathered from different walks of life with one key commonality; a commitment to a shared future anchored in respect for our shared humanity— one that our children deserve to enjoy. What began with some hesitance, quickly shifted to a sense of reunion, rather than a first meeting. Strangers grew to friends within the span of an evening. One woman bravely shared with her tablemates a personal journey that spoke volumes about the transformative power of the evening. As the night unfolded, she found the courage to make eye contact - a small yet significant triumph symbolizing the trust and connection she had forged with those around her. In allowing herself to be vulnerable, she not only found her voice but also empowered others to do the same. In 2021, Humphreys County in Tennessee was devastated by one of the worst fatal floods in history. After seeing the devastation the county experienced, the MoC team began implementing the 3142 Program in Humphreys County. The local 3142 task force voted to allocate donor funds from the 3142 Program's Do You Need My Help Fund to Waverly Junior High School that was destroyed in the flood. With a community investment of over $33,000, Waverly Junior High School was able to purchase computer units and computer charging carts to replace the school's computer lab. Earlier this month, MoC President & CEO Samar Ali took a trip to Waverly to see the new equipment implemented in the children’s curriculum. Samar shares, “Everyone in the school had a positive aura that I felt the second I walked into the doors.
