@thfc1983 Well Bairstow likes to open so coming in at 4 is prob not his style, as he loves to go after the power play, Jacks was brutal in the IPL when he got the chance but yeah it is different but our power play bowling has killed us, Wood went for a load as well so not all on Jacks

@ANDREW0675 Feels a long time since Bairstow got a decent international score and Jacks a little inexperienced was my thinking.

@thfc1983 Where have you got this form of other batters from? Jacks had scored a century in the IPL so was worthy of his place, as did Bairstow, Brook has hardly played much T20 so bit unfair to say he has no form

@dwallm 6 nations from Concacaf got an invite as a result (USA, Canada, Jamaica, Panama, Mexico & Costa Rica) while for the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup 4 nations from CONMEBOL were invited (Brazil beaten in final by USWNT)

Given it’s a South American tournament would love to know why the Copa America is being held in the US & how the US got invited into it 🤷🏻‍♂️…unless being treated as some kind of warm up gig for World Cup in 2026

@dwallm Apparently Equador were supposed to originally hold it but they withdrew their original bid to host, leaving the door open for the USA to host it for the second time (USA also had it in 2016) - confirmed in Jan 2023 as part of a strategic collaboration between CONMEBOL & Concacaf
