📢New study in @socscimed estimates total health gains and cost savings of eradicating 'cold housing' in Australia. Findings showed that eliminating 'cold housing' would lead to substantial health gains, reductions in health inequalities, savings in health expenditure, and productivity gains. By disease, 7.1% of the discounted lifetime health gains were due to reductions in cardiovascular diseases (CVD), 32.4% due to respiratory disease, and 60.6% due to mental illness.
