Today Feb 27th Onboard the HMAS Sydney I was presented with the honorary rank of Commander in the Royal Australian Navy. Here I am with Vice Admiral Hammond and Lord Blakeney ( Max Pirkis ). I served with Lord Blakeney on the HMS Surprise back in 1805. Once Navy, Always Navy.

On Remembrance Day, in collaboration with ANVAM the Embassy hosted “The Unknown Widow” exhibition, reflecting a universal theme born from the experience of all families struck by the tragedy of war. Artist Sacha de Wit’s work was also a tribute to 🇹🇷🇦🇺 bond forged at Gallipoli.

#AnzacDay2025 will be marked in Wiltshire, UK where thousands of Australian soldiers spent time at Hurdcott Camp during #WW1. The day was observed in 1917 at Hurdcott Camp and today, the view is largely unchanged. We will remember them.
