@Konstantillo @ShitpostRock2 Games are challenges to be beat. The fun comes in winning, and winning should be sought at all costs in a game aka optimizing with min maxing.

@MicroDragonMae @KruxSmash @Dexerto They only call in the super expensive and highly limited in number swat team if both cases are true. They arent going to waste funds just "just in case". Otherwise everyone would be doing it if it was so easy. Yet its fairly rare and hardly ever mentioned in the news.

@APArizonaTea @KruxSmash @Dexerto You might be a fuckin brick. SWAT teams (typically) go if the threat is high enough, nothing to do with credibility. If police can't risk dealing with it they call big guns so innocent people don't die. That's how the real world works. Saying this about an 80yo woman is insane.

@MistialD @best_clips__ I highly doubt a cop would ever do that nor would it hold up in court. Nice made up fantasies tho.

@APArizonaTea @best_clips__ If you allow them in, it's easier for them to plant things and claim they found them in the house. It's harder for them to claim consent when they have to break down your door to get in.

@Xaikar @Pirat_Nation Privacy is only a thing criminals want. What are you hiding that you so desperately dont want seen? Just switch to windows already and stop enabling criminal software to have a market to exist.

Linux now supports NVIDIA Reflex and AMD Anti-Lag on any graphics card, bringing much better responsiveness to gaming. A new open-source tool called low_latency_layer makes this possible on AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA GPUs. It uses the same signals games already send for Reflex and Anti-Lag, so titles that previously supported only NVIDIA now run smoother on other cards too. It pairs well with Steam Play and Proton, allowing Windows games on Linux to benefit from these low-latency features. Tests in Counter-Strike 2, THE FINALS, Cyberpunk 2077, and Overwatch 2 show reduced input lag, often matching or beating Windows versions. Developed by Nicolas James, the free tool is available on GitHub at github.com/Korthos-Softwa…

@2Toxic2Built @Pirat_Nation Even IF it was the way you stupidly think it is, what issue does that pose? The government is there to protect and serve. Itll use its data collection to maintain the peace instead of anything negative. You live by cartoon logic if you think theyd be comically evil for no reason.

@APArizonaTea @Pirat_Nation "keep our youth safety" it's literally just for 1984-esque government control, mass surveillance, and data collection. It has nothing to do with child safety. You fell for the propaganda lmao

@Lammjr @Pirat_Nation The only people that need to see the code can and its the company itself and the government. This makes it far more auditable and someone that can be held accountable unlike depending on the shakey good will of others who would make it impossible for the law to unlock devices.

@APArizonaTea @Pirat_Nation JESUS CHRIST? ARE YOU STUPID? YOU CAN LITERALLY READ THE CODE AND FIX IT YOURSELF ANY TIME YOU WANT! PROPRIETARY CODE IS A LOT UNSAFER BECAUSE IT'S A BLACK BOX NO ONE CAN AUDIT! You have NO IDEA what you are talking about. This is exactly why linux dominates enterprise space.

@joefantabulous @Pirat_Nation And one day, a cyber criminal using linux will come to harm you and no one will be able to be found because you supported the very privacy and security threat that linux identity is built on. You will have wished linux was banned and someone could be charged.

@joshuaprichards @Pirat_Nation Those servers should be facilitated over to a new software that can be held accountable and monitored by the government. We are past the age of "privacy". We are in an increasingly connected world that needs security and safety.

Linux runs the server market, after it crushed Windows to dust. Before you think that it's just because Linux is free, no, enterprise Linux most definitely is not. Windows is an unholy mess. I know, because I've used it since the mid 90s, beginning all the way back when Windows requires another operating system to function (Windows 3.1). I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly, and since about 2-3 years ago, I very rarely use it. And when I do, it's HIGHLY modified.

@2Toxic2Built @Pirat_Nation Its not a bad thing like you seem to think it is. Governments enforcing system level age verification is to keep our youth safety, having a central corporate building thats running the software means someone can be held accountable, among a million other reasons why its good.
