Linux runs the server market, after it crushed Windows to dust. Before you think that it's just because Linux is free, no, enterprise Linux most definitely is not. Windows is an unholy mess. I know, because I've used it since the mid 90s, beginning all the way back when Windows requires another operating system to function (Windows 3.1). I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly, and since about 2-3 years ago, I very rarely use it. And when I do, it's HIGHLY modified.
