As a first-generation scholar, I'm approaching the final stages of completing my dissertation, which focuses on restorative practices in elementary schools. Restorative practices hold the key to the future of our schools, fostering trust, belonging, understanding, & joy.

Yesterday, in Mogadishu, I met with one of my childhood friends who is also related to HSM tribe-wise. He invited me to have lunch with him at his house. I accepted it with no hesitation. While I was waiting to be served good stuff such as a plate of rice, meat, banana, “Isbarmuto” and all other good topping stuff in Somali hospitality foods. Unfortunately, I was served as shown below the plate of “Cambulo”. Was it deliberate or a mishap? Please advise me on what to do!🤔😂 @TheVillaSomalia, @FarahMaalimM
