One of the clearest themes emerging from this year’s American Public Transportation Association Mobility Conference was that autonomous vehicles are no longer being discussed as a distant concept — they are increasingly being viewed as an active component of the mobility ecosystem today and a critical pillar of how communities will move in the future. Across keynote sessions, panel discussions, technology showcases, and policy conversations, the overall sentiment was that autonomous mobility is rapidly transitioning from experimentation into implementation — and that public transportation agencies willing to lead now will help define the standards, policies, operational models, and customer expectations for the next generation of mobility. #APTAmobility26
