Even Uber is saying it: for major events, #publictransit gets you there. As the World Cup crowds hit New Jersey, rideshares struggled to keep up — with long waits, traffic gridlock, and thousands of fans left searching for rides. Meanwhile, NJ Transit moved tens of thousands efficiently as Uber even urged people to skip ride-hailing and take NJ Transit instead. When cities invest in transit, everyone moves.
