Happy Thanksgiving to all of our Canadian members. In the whole scheme of things, we all have much for which to be thankful. We thank you for all that do for the organization. #happythanksgiving #apwatweets #apwaBrad

Congratulations to our very own @APWABrad on receiving his CAE certification at last night's @kc_sae event. This is a major accomplishment and truly shows his dedication to association work. Bravo!

Class XIV of the Emerging Leaders Academy presented its final project - Public Works From Home - which looked at a year of remote work and how public works professionals and employers dealt with the challenges and what opportunities arose. #ELA @APWATWEETS

Congratulations to the Missouri Chapter. With very little time to prepare compared to other years, and with all the COVID protocols in place, it was a sensational event. It was so great to see all of our members, albeit from the nose up. @APWATWEETS #apwamissouri #pwx2021

PWX 2021 is a wrap. On Wednesday, the sign outside the America's Center Convention Center in the setting sun was a good metaphor. Many of us were not sure this event was even going to be held. @APWATWEETS @APWABrad

What can you learn at #PWX besides modern, technical public works expertise? You can learn how to be a leader. Attendees learning 5 leadership practices: Model the way, Inspire a Vision, Challenge the Process, Enable Others to Act, and Encourage the Heart.

Congratulations to Lydia Jacoby, the 17-year old swimmer from Seward, Alaska. She won the Gold Medal in the 100-meter breaststroke at the Tokyo Olympics. She is the niece of Judi Hines, former APWA Mid-Atlantic Chapter President and long-time delegate. #USA!

@APWARita Yeah, I share the Channel 5 story on Facebook with my friends. I was at a function in that hotel in October of 1980 when I came to KC from Charleston, IL to cover the World Series. Eerie.
