As it turns evening, relief in the form of rains and thunderstorms is approaching #Visakhapatnam city and nearby areas. During next 1 hour, a decent spell of rain will happen at many parts of the city as storms are approching from #Anakapalli district. 20 minutes back Madhurawada - Rushikonda belt got a spell of rain, now main city areas can see a relief. Remember that this is not Monsoon Onset and Tomorrow it will be Very Hot. During next 2 hours, Places along #Srikakulam district can see rains coming down from Vizianagaram side.

HEAT WAVE TO INCREASE FURTHER IN AP - —— Next 3-4 days, Temperatures across the state will be very hot as the Monsoon is unable to make entry into the state till June 17th. Dry winds from Telangana will make Temperatures touch 43-44 C in districts like #Nellore, #Prakasam, Bapatla, NTR, Palnadu, Eluru, Ubhaya Godavari, #Kakinada, Krishna, Guntur districts and a very hot day with Temperatures touching near 40 C in #Visakhapatnam city. Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam and Srikakulam will also see 43-44 C today. #CycloneBiparjoy is making Monsoon winds weak over AP causing the Monsoon to get delayed. Tomorrow it will make landfall in India-Pakisthan Border close to Karachi and will further take 3 days to completely weaken. Today rains only at Karnataka Border areas of #Anantapur, Sathya sai, Annamayya and Chittoor districts. One or two places of Anakapalli / ASR districts can see evening rains.

Heat Relief for some parts of South AP soon - --- As it turns towards Evening/Night, rains started forming over #Rayalaseema is slowly drifting towards the Coastal parts. During next 2 hours, #Tirupati city can see a good spell of rain along with Coastal parts of #Prakasam district and also some parts of #Nellore district. Intense Heat making the storm more Intense and powerful. Currently Sriharikota side of Tirupati district seeing an Intense rain spell.

HEAT WAVE WARNING --- Increased Heat Wave conditions ahead for all parts of #AndhraPradesh till June 17th till the Monsoon arrives. Mainly #Visakhapatnam and also Anakapalli side can see more heat as the Westerlies are very strong. From Morning to Afternoon Temperatures at Coastal Andhra can easily touch 43-44 C and some places can see upto 45 C Temperatures. But Evening to Mid-Night there can be relief due to rains and thunderstorms at few parts including Vizag. Monsoon to enter into the state around June 17th as informed earlier, after which Temperatures across the state will reduce gradually.

It rained for a very short time in some parts of #Visakhapatnam an hour ago, but this will not be enough to reduce the abnormal Temperatures. Today also Temperatures in Vizag are expected to touch 40 C or even more as the Dry Westerlies keep blowing from the hills. North Andhra districts along with Godavari will also face the Heat wave conditions today. As #CycloneBiparjoy heads towards North Arabian Sea, we can see Pre-Monsoon rains in few parts along Chittoor, #Nellore, #Tirupati, Annamayya, Sathya Sai and few more areas of #Rayalaseema during Evening to Night time. Coastal Andhra will see relatively lesser rains but more heat for the whole day.
