Storybook Parade, the end of Principals Month, and Field Day! 💚💚 @AP_FW_ @SouthHiMount

Sometimes you see kids being so good that you have to celebrate together at lunch! My students problem solved at recess with 0 adult help! That means a Dr. FW lunch STAT. I even got some jokes from a future stand up comedian! #thisisthebestpart 💛💚

@drmelissabryan and I’s absolute FAVORITE part of the job is a positive phone call home. We were covering the phones and caught kids doing great 💚💚

Our Kinder & 1st grade CTM @SouthHiMount planned for an extension lesson on fairy tales today. Here they are practicing the rehearsal for Goldilocks & The Three Bears. Way to go, team!

Our kinder team has been focusing on evaluating what comprehension skills our students have mastered apart from their phonics skills. Today we listened to recordings of our students answering questions aligning with our students’ ELPS, MAP Fluency & TELPAS goals.

Life is too short not to celebrate to the max! I had the best time celebrating @drmelissabryan and conspiring with the kids to make 🥦 operation broccoli 🥦 a reality. Happy birthday to the principal of principals!!!

Our kids are with us for the majority of the day, it is our duty to make that day as joyful as possible. Mr. Ortiz needs disappoints when it comes to the fun factor! He adds interactive games that are aligned to his objective!

Today, I had the unique opportunity to shadow one of our amazing students and see the school day through their eyes. It was a day filled with discovery, challenges, and heartwarming moments! The teacher included me on the roster at attendance.

We love having vertical teams in PLCs bc we find solutions to problems we’re having in multiple grades and we’re able to respond in the same way, giving students consistency. This paragraph-hamburger organizer suggested by a teacher saved the day! @drmelissabryan @CortezLupe1 🍔

We had an AMAZING first house event today! I was extremely impressed with the leadership from our head of houses and the excellent behavior of our students. The purpose of the house systems is develop a tight knit community and to celebrate excellence which I 100% saw today!

#fwisdfirstday the kids are back the building feels right again! The minute they walk in every long prep day is worth it. I was so proud of my community today. I loved being able to ask big kids to help little kids and to see our kids so happy to see each other. They’re the best

A little campus PD with a focus on all of our new data tools! Is there anything better than a color-coded chart where you can click to break up performance by student group and TEKS? We focused on our data as a whole school and how teachers can look at their data on a micro level

To have a good mentor is everything when you’re an AP. @drmelissabryan and I are starting our FIFTH year working together! I feel so lucky to get to learn from such a legend. Thanks for having my back and taking time to teach me day in and day out 💚💚 #happy4thanniversary 🎂
