the part I lost the most sleep over was not the questions. it was the money. two strangers, real USDC, no referee. so the rules are dumb on purpose: both players pay in before a single question shows up. nobody answers anything until the pot is fully funded. if your opponent pays and then bails, you don't get stuck, you get refunded. if they never pay, the match just dies and nobody loses a cent. winner gets paid out on chain. no "claim later", no points you cash out someday. it settles. boring to build. very nice to trust.

Free mode if you're scared. Paid mode if you're not. Same questions. One of them remembers what you said.

the whole game is one screen. that was a real decision, not laziness. you connect, you pick a stake, you get matched with a stranger, you answer 5 rounds, you get paid. no lobby maze, no settings you have to read, no tutorial holding your hand. it loads fast enough to start a duel while you're in line for coffee. we figured the fun is "do I know this Pokemon thing, yes or no." everything we could remove that got in the way of that, we removed. go see how little there is between you and a duel.

The questions go from "every kid knows this" to "you mained competitive and you still might miss it." 5 tiers of difficulty. Round 5 is where the talkers go quiet.

it's a little quiz game. it asks you about Pokemon. you answer. you feel smart. oh and a stranger loses money to you. but mostly it's a little quiz game :)

3,193 Pokémon questions sounds like a number we made up. it's not, and that was kind of the point. writing trivia by hand means you eventually get tired and start guessing. then someone who actually knows their stuff catches the wrong answer and the whole thing looks fake. so we didn't guess. the questions are built straight off real Pokedex data. types, evolutions, stats, abilities, the works. if the dataset says Gengar is Ghost Poison, the question says Ghost Poison. no vibes, no "I think it's", no arguing your way out of a miss. 5 difficulty tiers, from "every kid knows this" to "okay you're built different."
