One of the biggest part of pollution is because of car emissions. They emit lots of carbon dioxide every year. The harmful chemicals that are released can harm the ozone. @franklinlorax #apesair

We live a troposphere, this mean we are in the lowest region of the atmosphere. This is where weather occurs and where plane routes run through. #apesair @franklinlorax

The suns rays are able reach the earth’s atmosphere. Some reflect of the earth and back into space, but some get trapped causing warmth. #apesair @franklinlorax

Walking to your destination (if it’s close enough) is an easy way to reduce CO2 emissions. It makes cleaner air and produces less pollution! #apesair @franklinlorax

I always make sure to turn off the lights when I leave a room so I am saving energy. #apesenergy @franklinlorax

English

@JayceeNirschl @franklinlorax I do the same thing to save energy.
English

I make sure to turn the lights off every time I leave a room. By doing this I make sure to save energy so we don’t have to burn at much coal. #apesenergy @franklinlorax

Whenever I am not charging my phone, I make sure to unplug my charger. This helps to save energy and reduce the amount of coal burned for electricity!! #apesenergy @franklinlorax

My aloe plant likes to have soil that is like sandy loam. They grow best with direct sunlight and better in the warmer weather and should be watered when the soil dries out completely which is why they do grow good in desert-like conditions. @franklinlorax #apesland

@SM507721apes @franklinlorax Good point! and love that you have these plants!
English

that’s a good point! in fact, we can use the triangle chart we used in class to see exactly which percentages of sand, silt, and clay can be used to make up the sandy loam soil fit for these plants: one example is 60% sand, 10% clay, & 30% silt! @franklinlorax #apesland

succulents and aloe plants require their soil texture to be sandy loam for them to fully grow. they do best in dessert climates, so they are not naturally found in wisconsin’s forests! #apesland @franklinlorax

This plant isn’t real, but plants that look like it, ex: Grapevines, need clay soil and grow best with compost on the top of the planting site. #apesland @franklinlorax

I have 6 people in my family which is over the average amount of people per family so we need more resources than others. @franklinlorax #apespop

@SL508756apes @franklinlorax you're right it is slowing down the population
English

Though Covid-19 is not stopping the population of the US from increasing entirely, it is slowing it, causing the prediction of US population in 25 years to be more than 10,000,000 less than predicted in 2018 #apespop @franklinlorax

By using this reusable coffee mug for different sorts of drinks, I can cut down on my ecological footprint by not using plastic water bottles every time I am thirsting for some H2O wasting less resources

Wisconsin is a temperate seasonal forest biome, this means we get to experience all the season season and the changes, like the leaves on trees when it becomes winter. #apeseco @franklinlorax

This is my first cactus I have ever bought and how it is getting really big and healthy and cacti are known for being in the subtropical desert. #apeseco @franklinlorax

English

@SM507721apes @franklinlorax Agree Wisconsin is a great state that shows the temperature seasonal/deciduous forest biome
English

the forests around franklin are a perfect example of the temperature seasonal/deciduous forest biome, where we can observe distinct seasonal changes as seen here. this biome is especially notable because it’s where we humans live! @franklinlorax #apeseco
