One was Smokey Yunick, who piloted a B-17 Bomber during WWII and flew over 50 missions in the European and Pacific theaters. He was one of the great innovators in racing. He won the Daytona 500, Indy 500, and Southern 500 as a team owner/crew chief. We thank him for his service and sacrifice to our country. This week is the Memorial Day Showcase.
