#Children are disproportionately affected by #ExtremePoverty. In 2024, more than 19% of the global child population survived on less than $3.00 per day. While some regions have made remarkable strides during the past decades, others have stagnated, with Sub-Saharan Africa remaining the epicenter of extreme child poverty: rapid population growth, fragility, conflict, and climate vulnerability are some of the main drivers. Ending child poverty is possible, but it requires targeted, sustained, and inclusive efforts. @laraibarra_g, Carolina Díaz-Bonilla, Enrique Delamónica, @JennYablonski, Daylan Salmerón Gómez, and @Solaengilberts offer key insights into child poverty trends in this @WorldBank blog: shorturl.at/3FCKe
