Honestly, it's been mentioned to me not once, not twice, but probably a hundred times that my content tends to be a little lengthy. And honestly? I find it both flattering and funny at the same time. Haha! Maybe it’s because I never really saw myself as a "content creator" to begin with. I don't write for virality. I don't write for impressions or numbers. I've never sat down thinking, "How can I optimize this for more views?" I just write the same way I talk in real life. Sometimes it might be redundant. Sometimes it loops around. Sometimes it tackles things from multiple angles. But that's just how I am when I'm talking to people irl. Maybe the bottomline is that I never considered myself as a content creator. I'm a communicator. I enjoy discussing things. I enjoy expanding ideas. I enjoy breaking down different perspectives and disciplines. I enjoy brainstorming in public and seeing where the conversation leads. That's all my "content" really is. Just me communicating the same way I would if we were having a real conversation. And honestly that allowed me to meet a lot of amazing people. Grateful for everyone who takes time out of their day to read my (sometimes) lengthy, (sometimes) argumentative, and (always) very me essays. lol. And I'm also grateful to those who give advice on how to optimize for growth. Honestly, I really appreciate it. But if I'm being real... I'm probably too stubborn to change it. I've tried making shorter, "optimized" content before... and every time, it just felt forced. It didn't sound like me. It felt like I was pretending to be someone I'm not. So nope, I'm not here optimizing for vanity metrics. I’m here to communicate. To put my thoughts out there. To connect with people who find value in the same conversations I care about. And if you're one of those people, just know: I appreciate you. A LOT.
