@factor_members This is what mentally challenges… the part of sticking to YOUR rules.. then patterns (to others) outside those rules result in successful breakouts.. thinking in probabilities is hard

@factor_members When it broke out I thought it was overbought..! Each day it screams higher.. At this rate it will catch the Dow

@factor_members What we should and actually do are usually different .. seeing the flagpole of the indexes hard to buy anything related… but tomorrow the flagpole will continue.. until you buy in.

@factor_members I’m afraid this may be an unteachable trait.. occasionally when I’m in that place (not often enough) the peace feels good

@factor_members Paul speaking of Kindness and Philanthropy.. too many at the top are non of the above these days. And they don’t realize their ways are adopted by the people.. becomes a cancer of sorts.

@factor_members It’s a question I wondered about last week.. this decline is nearly peaceful and slow compared to prior ones.. it does appear bottoms occurs after traders are bored (low volatility) or a BIG drop washout ..

@factor_members Quite a paradox.. indexes ignoring the reality while oil is acknowledging it.. very confusing

@factor_members Setting orders is the solution to all this.. when you come to the screen is rarely the time to place a trade..

@factor_members Peter. What is the technical diffrence between a trade that travels VERY quickly to a target and one that grinds slowly? Some say slow grinds are better as more traders are involved (no blowoff) in the move.. (I prefer fast money..!!😃)..

@factor_members follow news events - builds bias - then markets surprise and confusion builds.. I’m back on a news ban.. for the 100th time.. very hard to do but as Darvas found out less is more.. a clear head is critical..

@factor_members Yes you may Peter. This is the hell (self created) we put ourselves in.. Some markets are “wicky”.. I’ve spent way too much time in index futures that are notorious for this. The psychological damage is real. Commodities MUCH cleaner but it will take time to believe again.

@CechowskiJarek @factor_members It is a quandary: which is less risky.. Buying a set ATR above or waiting for candle close (could be huge.. but means strength right.?) to buy above .. Ultimately for me it’s a fear to accept the consequences that prevents me from putting the orders in.

@factor_members My biggest struggle in trading: When setting my entry limit orders (those 100 ticks above), I always fear the candle won’t close above the horizontal level and will just reverse back into the range. Even when the setup looks perfect, I hesitate to pull the trigger.
