After thinking about affective polarization every single day of my life for more than 7 years now, it feels really great to see a part of my work published in @apsrjournal. A massive thank you to my co-authors Diego Garzia, @Frederico_FS, and @Atrechsel for making this possible!

EU&I2024 ending on a high note with a geographically and topically very diverse workshop. We had an especially strong attendance from Central Eastern and Southern Europe. Stay tuned for the dataset(s) release in early 2025 (and as you can see from the slide, our data is good)!

EU&I@eu_elections

📷 Last Friday, over 50 EU&I team members from 20+ countries gathered at EUI for a workshop on how to: ◾ use party + user data collected from the tool, ◾ integrate VAAs into research, teaching, and citizens’ engagement. Thank you everyone for the engaging discussions & ideas.🙌

Kind of symbolic that the first handbook of affective polarization comes out a few days before the very polarized US election. Happy to have contributed a chapter on AP in Europe, 5 years after I published my first article on this very same topic (ejpr.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.111…).

@AReiljan Ma arvan, et muutuvas Euroopa poliitilises keskkonnas orienteerumiseks võiks seda teemat tavainimesele arusaadavalt käsitleda ka Eesti meediaruumis. Vihje.

Of all the datasets in the world, none have I worked with more than the CSES. Very thrilled to receive the Best CSES Scholarship 2024 prize for this old-school comparative politics paper with Diego Garzia, @Frederico_FS, and @Atrechsel. Thank you for the honour, @csestweets!
