Just sit back, see how the season plays out, and then decide? That’s not strategy that’s hesitation. And here’s the bigger issue: Amorim shouldn’t have been sacked in the first place. You brought him in to build something, implement a system, and reset the club’s identity. That takes time. Pulling the plug early just resets the chaos all over again. If the decision was truly planned, a permanent manager would already be in place for next season even if it was Carrick. At the very least, he’d have been given clarity and backing by now. Instead, nothing is concrete. No direction, no conviction just waiting to see what happens, like a gambler watching the odds before placing a bet. That’s not how serious clubs operate
