The NAACP is investing $20 million in the largest midterm Get Out The Vote campaign in its 117 year history. This is not business as usual. After the Voting Rights Act was gutted and states like Tennessee and Louisiana redrew maps to eliminate majority Black districts, the NAACP responded. If your vote did not matter, they would not be working this hard to take it away. They are redrawing maps, changing laws and eliminating districts specifically to dilute Black voting power. That tells you everything you need to know. Your vote matters locally and nationally. Voter registration deadlines are approaching in some states. Register now and get out there! naacp.org/articles/250th…

An esteemed, beloved elder is now an ancestor. Clarence B. Jones, among Dr. King’s trusted legal counsels and strategic advisors, has passed. The NAACP has filed a lawsuit alleging Tennessee’s new congressional map intentionally discriminates against Black voters by dismantling the state’s only majority-Black district. Our right to fair representation was paid for with blood, sacrifice, and generations of struggle. We cannot allow political games to silence Black voices or weaken Black voting power. thehill.com/homenews/state…
