ASDMA advocate third-party product & process certification (TPPPC). Following on from the Minister for #BuildingSafety's announcement on 2nd September, we're hopeful that third-party #FireDoor certification founded on accumulated BS 476 Part 22 fire resistance testing continues.

ASDMA wishes to emphasise that there's no reason to question #FireDoors backed by supporting test evidence and third-party product & process certification based on BS 476 Part 22 fire resistance testing, including fire doors approved on that basis, which may be already in use.

The BS 476 Part 22 test remains valid for fire resistance national classifications, following the amendment to Approved Document B in March. ASDMA considers that the retention of BS 476 Part 22 good news for #FireSafety & #FireDoor product assurance. asdma.com/bs476part22tes…
