The Cavineers, Archbishop Spalding’s FIRST Robotics Team 4541, competed this weekend at the FIRST Robotics District Competition at Chesapeake High School. Their robot, Carbon 14, took the field against teams from across the region. It was exciting to see the team in action!

Our second group of juniors had an amazing time at Junior Retreat—growing in faith, building friendships, and making meaningful memories together.

Our AP African American Studies class recently visited the National Museum of African American History and Culture, where students explored powerful stories and artifacts that connected directly to their curriculum and brought history to life.

Before taking the field yesterday against Everest Academy, our boys lacrosse team paused together for a moment of prayer. A powerful reminder of the faith and unity that guide our community both on and off the field.

Exploration in action! Our Zoology students dissected sea stars to examine the unique anatomy and fascinating features of echinoderms up close.

AP U.S. Government students stepped into the role of the House of Representatives for our Mock Congress simulation. Each student researched and introduced a bill, followed by a full House floor debate. Democracy in action!

Faculty Spotlight Mr. Heming presented “Why You Need a Music Technology Class and How To Start One” at the Maryland Music Educators Association conference. Proud to see our faculty leading and inspiring music educators across the state!

Friday night was filled with incredible talent as our students took the stage for our annual Variety Show! With amazing musical performances and captivating dance numbers, it was a night to remember.

Congratulations to Samuel Malta on being selected to receive the AFCEA Central Maryland Chapter George Cotter STEM Scholarship. We are proud of his dedication to STEM and this outstanding achievement.

Students explored the Option and Love for the Poor and Vulnerable pillar of CST through a gallery walk and then pitched solutions in a Shark Tank–style activity focused on helping those most in need.
