I posted this in response to a conversation that I was having with one of my friend's, who is a talented creator and, now that I got your attention with some of my artwork, thought I would also share with you what I told him as some of you might find benefit from it... In my time, which in many cases seems to feel like it has been FOREVER, I've seen a lot of talented and creative individuals who have folded, packed it in and given up, because they listened to insensitive pecker-heads whose opinions weren't even worth wiping your ass with... but surrendered to it, none-the-less. First Rule of Being Creative: Create for yourself and don't base your worth on the validation of others; not everyone is going to understand you, like you, support you and some will even attack you simply because they are jealous of the talent you display. Second Rule of Being Creative: Try and be supportive of others who are creative, as well; while it is true that some of them may attack or betray you for some of the reasons mentioned above... those that don't are valuable in building a solid network of friendship and support that will help you to navigate through times of self doubt and whom will also rely on your encouragement to help them through theirs. Last Rule of Being Creative: ALWAYS BE YOURSELF! Be unashamed in who you are and what you do. Sacrificing who you are, for the benefit of others, stifles your ability to create; prevents you from finding the joy you can have in life and in the things you do; if people can't like you for who you are or what you do, then cut them loose... they will either tie you down (and not in a good way) and you'll only be lying to them and yourself, which is UNHEALTHY! Life, my friends, is too short to live it sacrificing who you are for others... be yourself.

The UK government has rolled out GOVUK Chat, a new AI assistant built into the official app. The chatbot helps people find answers about government services using information from thousands of official guidance pages already available online. There’s a catch, though, you can’t use it anonymously. Anyone who wants to try the feature must sign in or create a GOVUK One Login account before asking questions. That has led to privacy concerns, especially since the same information is freely available on the GOVUK website without logging in. Wonder how they will use all the data collected…

Bungie is reportedly planning major layoffs as the studio shifts focus following its transition under Sony, according to Bloomberg. At the same time, Destiny 3 is not currently in active development, and Bungie has no plans right now to fully greenlight another large-scale project for the existing Destiny 2 team. Employees are said to be pitching and prototyping different ideas, including projects set in the Destiny universe, but none have been approved for full production yet. Instead, Bungie resources are reportedly being redirected toward Marathon, the studio’s newly released extraction shooter.

@Pirat_Nation Ain't nothing bringing me back to it... after 20+ years, I dumped it last year and lost nothing. And, as soon as the Series X dies, I am done with Xbox totally... In the meantime, if anyone wants me, they can find me on Steam.

Xbox has reportedly canceled its planned Game Pass Family Plan. The subscription would have allowed up to four users to share access to the full Game Pass library at a discounted rate. It was tested in countries including Ireland and Colombia but was ultimately dropped after EA strongly opposed the shared library concept and its impact on game sales.

Ubisoft is increasing its investment in generative AI to create more interactive gaming experiences. The company is working on a project called “Teammates,” where AI-powered characters can react and respond to players in a more natural way. Ubisoft wants NPCs and companions in games to feel smarter and more realistic. These AI characters could adapt to player actions, respond during gameplay, and enable less scripted conversations and events. The company is also using AI to help game development by improving testing, coding support, and managing large open-world games. Ubisoft’s future games, including major franchises like Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry, may include more AI-driven features as the company continues investing in this technology.

Apparently the game is restricted in Germany.

A controversial game called Plantation Simulator has been released on Steam and is receiving huge backlash from people calling it a slavery simulator. The game is described on Steam as a simple farming simulator where players motivate workers to work on a plantation. But the gameplay centers on a whipping mechanic applied to Black workers to increase productivity. The developer has described it as: “In this game, you will be whipping black people to keep your farm productive. If you whip your black person too much, they will die.”

The wonderful thing about games... they speak to what interests and the type of person is who created it (like I am a pervert, so I make porn games)... ...and, another thing that is awesome about games?? People DON'T have to buy them if the game's topic upsets them. If we removed every piece of art, literature, song, show, movie or game, because it OFFENDS someone, we'd have nothing... Would I buy this game, fuck no... but I am smart enough to know that the world doesn't revolve around me or my personal feelings and people are free to be themselves and accept the consequences of that... too bad the rest of humanity has seemingly forgot that fact.

Sometimes the voices of the few, don't total the sum of them all. If you have a million customers and 100 complain, that means you are relying on the loudest voices of 0.001% of your customer base. If the other 99.999% are silent, that means they don't have a problem, but when they see you bend a knee for a handful of people, just because they were rowdy or had a problem... your value as a business falls. As yours just did with me. I wish people would take a moment and realize that just because you have a handful of screaming and whining children, that you have to pivot to please those select few... shame you had to lose my business to learn that silence in the large part of your customer base doesn't mean that something is wrong and that the scream of a few suddenly means that their opinion speaks for those who were silent like me . It didn't, it doesn't and it never will. Good luck.

Dear Party Animals players, Regarding the controversy surrounding the recent "Golden Paw Awards" AI Video Contest, we would like to offer our deepest apologies to all players who have expressed concern, shared criticism, and voiced their opinions — especially to our creator community. Following the announcement of this event, we received a significant amount of negative feedback. We have read through your comments and opinions one by one. We must admit that our consideration of the event's conception was insufficient, the design was inadequately thought through, and our communication with the community was not up to par. Even though our original intention was to encourage more diverse forms of creative expression and lower the barrier to entry, allowing more players who love Party Animals to participate, we mistakenly tied "lowering the barrier" together with "using AI." In doing so, we overlooked the potential offense and harm that the ongoing debate surrounding AI-generated content could cause to our players and the creator community. We feel deeply uneasy and apologetic about this, and we sincerely accept the criticism. After carefully considering voices from all sides, we held a vote across our major platforms regarding whether the event should proceed. Based on your feedback and our own internal review and reflection, we have made the following decision: Effective immediately, the "Golden Paw Awards" event is officially canceled. To the players who were troubled, disappointed, or offended by this situation, we would like to once again express our sincere apologies. To every player who voiced criticism, participated in the vote, and pushed us to re-evaluate this issue, we would like to express our most sincere gratitude. Moving forward, we will approach related topics with a much more humble and cautious attitude. Competition only in the fact that it will be more censored than Visa/MasterCard is presently. Additionally, how much you want to bet that it will get to the point where you upset a member of European nation in this banking ring (say the UK) by speaking aloud about immigration policy, or some such thing... you will be terminated from the program and will have to pay penalties or have your credit rate changed. Don't think they'll do it? Just wait... only thing worse than a politician is a politician that also acts like a bank.

Visa and Mastercard will finally face some competition. Europe is building its own payment system that will launch in late 2026, when about 130 million people in 13 countries will be able to use it. It integrates the Wero app with national services like Bizum in Spain, Bancomat in Italy, MB Way in Portugal, and Vipps and MobilePay in the Nordic countries. The system transfers money instantly from one bank account to another using Europe’s fast payment network, so people can keep using their usual apps while a central link simplifies cross-border payments. It starts with person-to-person payments in late 2026 and adds online and in-store payments in 2027. They want to cut costs and keep money and data inside Europe, and rely less on foreign card companies like Visa and Mastercard. This will not replace Visa or Mastercard completely, as those cards will remain useful for travel and some shops, but it is a good alternative for Europeans to the usual payment processors.

I am withholding from preordering any games and have been in that practice for a while now... actually, come to think of it, CP 2077 was the last one, I believe, that I preordered and stopped just for that reason. These days it has become too much of a hassle dodging First Day Game Patches or Ugly Female Syndrome in the industry and just wait till I can see reviews from trusted sources and game stability. My money is more important than a company's first week sale's margin.

CD Projekt Red has confirmed that The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2 will not repeat the development mistakes of Cyberpunk 2077. In a recent presentation the studio’s veteran technical writers Jarosław Ruciński and Adrian Fulneczek explained how the company has learned hard lessons from past internal documentation failures. They described the previous approach as “chaos,” with fragmented info across multiple systems during Cyberpunk 2077’s development and the shutdown of the Witcher 3 wiki after the game’s launch. To prevent this going forward, the teams for The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2 now share a single unified knowledge base, and updated documentation has been made a mandatory requirement before any development milestone is considered complete. “We only made one big mistake, which was thinking that the end of development for The Witcher 3 also meant the finish line for the documentation.” About the Cyberpunk 2077 era: “It was chaos. We had two spaces, two instances.”

Kickstarter has officially reversed its controversial new mature content guidelines after huge backlash from creators In a blog post published today titled “An Apology: Rethinking Our Mature Content Guidelines,” the platform acknowledged that the detailed rules released last week went too far. The changes were by pressure from their payment processor, Stripe, which had begun suspending approved campaigns over mature content. As a result, Kickstarter is removing the new guidelines entirely and returning to its previous simpler policy: projects may not include pornography or illegal content. Payment processors can still review and potentially block campaigns based on their own standards.

Actually, you don't need to bankrupt them... this kind of thinking is a defeatist one and one in which companies hope customers adopt, because it make customers sheep that they can easily prey upon. The truth is, an entire quarter of loss is really all it takes to upset a company and it's structure. People start losing their jobs, company roles get placed on chopping blocks and the illusion of a spotless career and golden parachute go out the window, causing stress, grief and knee jerk reactions to try and save profit margins. That is fact. They WANT you to think that it would take bankrupting them, because sheep won't bay or disrupt quarterly earnings...

@ASLPro_3D @Pirat_Nation Thing is though, it takes BILLIONS of dollars for these card companies to go bankrupt. And if one of them did go bankrupt it would crash the entire economy. Same goes for OpenAI lobbying for debt deleting, it'll just crash the economy.

Japanese publisher Eroge Japan’s website crashed due to overwhelming traffic. Players rushed to download the free NSFW patch for SiNiSiStar 2 immediately after its censored all-ages version launched on Steam. The original uncensored version on DLSite sold over 100,000 copies.
