Breastfeeding isn’t a one-person job. Those who breastfeed need support from someone who listens to their experience and responds to their needs with reliable advice. We’re urging governments to invest in equal access to skilled breastfeeding counselling for every mother.

We can build a healthier world - and it starts from birth. By helping more mothers to breastfeed exclusively for their baby’s first six months, we can save the lives of 820,000 children every year. It very much depends on skilled advice from a trained health worker.
