Nah. Leaving aside the choice to say "usurped", if Rhaenyra had been a man, he would have inherited without contest. And Aegon would have had a happy life, so it's a win-win for both of them.

Trust me on this, if Rhaenyra had been a man, Viserys would not have had to marry Alicent because Aemma would still be alive and the male heir that Viserys so wanted, for which he had to send his wife to her death, would have been born years ago.

Otto is of course a patriarchal man but he doesn't give a shit about andal laws if viserys had agreed to marry rhaenyra and aegon he would have supported her with his whole chest because to him his blood on the iron throne is what matters

exactly, the tg used patriarchal rules for their personal gain - targtower on the iron throne, they didn't follow these rules out of respect remember, it was otto who proposed rhaenyra as the heir to get rid of daemon, that time he broke those rules for his personal gain
