The ASP Program Committee invites you to present your work at ASP 2026, where we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of ASP in Arlington VA! Both in-person and virtual presentations are welcome.

You should receive a confirmation email once your submission has been received. If you have any questions regarding your application, please do not hesitate to contact us.

After submitting your application through the portal, please email the ASPEC Co-Chairs, Dr. Gabriela de Faria Oliveira and Dr. Aaryn Mustoe, at education@asp.org to notify them of your submission to the Student Competition.

Mildred earned University First Rank during her Master’s degree (2019) and received the Teep@Asia Plus Student Exchange Fellowship from Taiwan’s Ministry of Education (2022–2023). While in Taiwan, she studied human–macaque interactions at Shoushan Nature Park in Kaohsiung.

🐒 New Hot Topics in Primate Welfare! This quarter we are featuring the work of the two ASP 2025 winners. Amanda Bartlett, MRes, received the award for her project “Behavior and Vertical Space Use of Captive Callimico (Callimico goeldii): Implications for Welfare.”

Rhiannon Schultz, Ph.D., received the award for her project “Developmental and Health-related Variation in Activity and Total Energy Expenditure in Male Western Lowland Gorillas (Gorilla gorilla gorilla).”
