@James22kim @jeffgadsden @galusweegie @amandahkumar @EMARIANOMD @nelkassabany @dr_tgro @VeenaGraffMD I use pre-operative PO methadone for all of my multi-level spine cases, hips scopes, etc. I’ve had several instances where I’ve continued it in the postoperative period in patients with a significant history of opioid tolerance undergoing spine surgery and I’ve seen great results

For spine surgery, Dr. Evan Kharasch recommends a single dose of intraop methadone which decreases both postop pain and opioid requirement. Anyone else regularly using intraop methadone? @jeffgadsden @galusweegie @amandahkumar @EMARIANOMD @nelkassabany @dr_tgro @VeenaGraffMD

RAPTIR shouldn’t replace classical infraclav as both are good techniques to utilize, depending on the patient and clinical picture
