The media are conflating Senator Jacinta Price's reasonable conservative positions against mass immigration on the 2 Worlds Collide Podcast with the very open ethno-nationalist views of the host. The country is facing multiple waves of immigration that many Australians of all backgrounds, including those of immigrant heritage, view as a problem. It wouldn't be too dissimilar to the views expressed by Ronil on Insight, where he expressed support for Pauline Hanson's positions. It's not remarkable that a member of the Liberal party would be looking at the issue of mass immigration through then lens of many of their voter base, especially as One Nation is looking to onboard them. When asked whether she supports Sam's ethno-nationalist positions, his view of Australian identity as white (Anglo-Celtic) and /or Indigenous, and his various other views regarding the remigration of non-white Australians, Senator Price offered a counter perspective consistent with her views. Here are some quotes: "Look, I will say that I don't know that you can define it precisely ethnically, like that, because I think we're far more mixed up than that," "I look at my own family in that my children have got Irish, Scottish, Welsh, German, Indian, Malay, Chinese, French, they've got a grandmother on one side who's Mauritian to white Australian grandfathers and an Aboriginal grandmother. As by definition, no, my close friend Chock is not Australian. He’s ethnically Colombian. The kids he has with his ethnically Australian partner are half Colombian, half Australian. Is this not hard to grasp?? Him and I have spoken at length about this and to some extent he agrees. Doesn’t mean we can’t be friends over a small disagreement. Is Avi Australian? No. Is Rukshan Australian? No. You are ethnically Israeli and Indian, that’s what you are and where you originate from. Only Anglo-Celtic European and/or Indigenous Australians are ethnically Australian. This is not hard to grasp. My issue is with the immigration that has happened over the past few decades and our falling birthrate, that ethnic Australians are being replaced in their own country. For you that might not matter, but for many of us Australians it does and it’s worth fighting for. I want the majority (not all, but majority) of Australians in Australia to be Australian. Again, is this not hard to grasp? Is this extreme, Avi? And I'm sure Pauline would agree on this. Do I want my close friend Chocky deported? No. Do I even want you deported, Avi? No. What I do want is for our government to shut the gate, deport illegals and remigrate anyone who has come here over the past 5 years (as a starting point), and then start working on our birthrate so Australians maintain as a strong portion, the main ethnic race in their own country. And we need to aim for a birthrate like Israel so we don't need immigration. Right now, on our current path, Australians going to be replaced in their own country within decades, and that matters to many of us Australians. If we can't define an Australian and what that ethically looks like, then we can't defend it against the uni-party, who have, over the past 20 years decided to put dollars over its people.
