Memecoins have been abused. They've been used for exits, but memecoins should be used so a meme exists. Regulatory and technical barriers have dissolved—- tokens are a novel way to coordinate capital via the internet; there’s a lot to study, a lot to improve. Following 3 months of ‘memecoin management’, I share thoughts on tokenomics and a path to using a memecoin to advance any idea: ASYM is a memecoin. ASYM’s meme: AI that generates and distributes profits. @ASYMcoin was a fair launch with a supply capped 1B tokens. I control 28% of the supply atm. I first described ASYM’s tokenomics in December via “Crack Commandment #4” which you can view in my articles section. For the most part, the perspective I provided then holds true to my current beliefs: I want the ASYM meme to become true, so any tokens I own are to be used to advance the meme: selling tokens to support services costs, paying out tokens to incentivize development, and using tokens to fund trading pools. There is an exchange being made: I use the tokens i control (and the liquidity that the market justifies) in order to help advance systems that can capture value, and the value that is captured will be put to buying back the token, further extending the resources available to advance the meme, and working to push up the price of the token (and in turn rewarding those who have bought and held the token to date). There’s a lot to learn and observe, even just a few months in. First we need to acknowledge that this is an untested & unproven model, and there are tradeoffs to this approach: 1. You do not get to decide who buys your memecoin and this means that you can end up with a range of ‘investors’ who aren’t necessarily aligned with your vision or preferred approach; they will make this known, and dealing with this takes a certain level of resilience and tact; 2. Your treasury is not stable: this model requires that you make a social commitment to store capital in the meme’s coin; you are relying on the market’s belief in the meme, which can swing at any given moment. 3. Regulatory is more friendly but is still undefined, and generally, everything related to token models is new; there aren’t any practices that are established, and so you’re taking on the costs of navigating the undefined and educating the market alongside that 4. Your wife may want to leave you There are benefits tho! & I think that they show a lot of promise– 1. Raising capital from traditional funds can take a ton of time and effort, and it can often be dependent on trad reputations; for anyone with a reputation on the internet, a memecoin can act as a powerful tool to coordinate and form capital, focused on advancing a specific meme; internet liquidity is underserved and near-infinite in aggregate 2. By storing capital in a meme's coin, you are financially aligned with the meme you serve: e.g. our ‘treasury’ exists in $ASYM and developers are paid in $ASYM, and so at the team level and at the individual contributor level, we benefit if the token price goes up—- we are maximally financially aligned with ASYM holders. 3. memecoins are publicly accessible, an open resource anyone can use; for us-- we believe that AGI is going to produce a lot of value; we want to establish a system that captures and distributes that value, and we’d like to do it in as open and accessible way as possible: a token is the easiest way to provide this accessibility. Tokens are dank but under explored. And even tho memecoins look like a joke to many, I believe that memecoins can open up the world to a new era where anyone with access to the internet can coordinate capital to advance any idea that society deems worthy. With ASYM, we hope to show what’s possible.

Tourists have come and gone, and they’ve messed up crypto culture. For crypto and any network to succeed, it’ll be better off if it can divorce itself from today’s default crypto culture and instead seek god (and better cultural values). There are 4 values that I think are key for any network to adopt in order to position itself for success; I hope to see the ASYM network live by these values: 1. Focus on tech, ignore price 2. Operate with radical honesty 3. Embrace FUD and seek the truth 4. Fall back to the meme Let’s examine each. Focus on tech, ignore price The timeline is obsessed with price talk. This obsession is a massive disservice to the price of our tokens and to a sustainable ecosystem. Price is a lagging indicator of societal relevance—it doesn’t make sense to obsess on price but rather to obsess on the systems that will enable societal relevance over time. Focus on the tech, ignore the price, and the price will be better off over time. Operate with radical honesty Building meaningful things demands time and resilience through countless challenges. The most crucial moment for communication is when bad news hits. Silence around problems doesn’t make them disappear– it lets them fester into crises. Radical honesty means delivering news that might hurt a token’s price– precisely why transparency is a struggle in crypto imo. If a network can discuss raw, less than positive truths, it has attained a super power — it will be able to face its issues head on rather than sweeping them under the rug and letting those issues kill the network over time. Embrace FUD and seek the truth Honesty extends beyond our own opinions; the broader market’s opinions matter: FUD is feedback-undoubtedly-deserved; it’s almost always the case that FUD has some truth behind it, and so instead of shutting down or ignoring FUD, a network should seek out FUD, understand the systems that are leading to FUD, and either address those systems or accept that whatever the FUD touches upon is innately part of the network/meme and must be accepted as so. Fall back to the meme The meme is why the network exists in the first place: The meme defines the network’s mission. And so wherever there is any lack of clarity, the meme should be used as the north star. For ASYM, our meme is AI that generates and distributes profits. This should be the north star for everything we do. —------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Crypto networks must divorce from today’s default crypto culture if they want to be successful. For ASYM, imo, if the network can adopt the above 4 values, then it will be culture maxxed in a way that will put ASYM in the best position to succeed.

THE MEMECOIN DISRESPECT IS CRAZY. Toly says memecoins have no value. My mom say memecoins have no value and that I should get a real job 😭😭 Boomer takes, and not productive in accelerating the future. We too collectively dismiss memecoins and we avoid proper observation and learnings as a result. Memecoins can quickly bootstrap capital and attention. Memecoins are valuable, even in their primitive state. And we can accelerate their evolution to being even more valuable by studying them: appreciating what they do well, understanding the negatives that can come from them, and building systems to harness their good and mitigate their bad.

I am more confident in ASYM than ever. I am wrapping up with ASYM's accounting service and pool management service that will ensure ASYM's capital is all properly tracked and will allow ASYM to intelligently balance its capital across $ASYM, SOL, and USDC to be used for holding, trading, and taxes and expenses; I hope to wrap up with this on the sooner side but not quite there yet. Alongside this coming release, I'll plan to share a broad set of learnings and thoughts on how I think ASYM should be focused in moving forward to best enable its success. I've gone back through $asym's trades for the last month or so. I believe the first posted trade was January 20th. During that period, there have been three days without a posted profitable trade. Likewise, there have been 10 days with at least six profitable trades. No emotions. No breaks. Just autonomous decisions.
