In preparing for Sacred Symbols, I'm catching up on the news that ⅔ of GTA Online's userbase is on PlayStation. Somehow more people on PS4 than Xbox Series, even. Insane. Grand Theft Auto VI is likely to sell so many PlayStation 5s it's going to make our collective heads spin.

I really think Xbox talks a little too much. I would love if PS would talk a little more but constant interviews and podcasts I don’t really need. Constantly talking is what got them to have mixed messaging to their fans when it comes to certain topics.

@AbdulBCRT @DestinLegarie I agree they need a smaller SKU but Xbox can announce all exclusive tomorrow the gaming community will go back and forth but fast forward to Helix nobody is going to fork over outside of die hard Xbox fans and tech influencers $1000-1200 and that includes PS6.

@DestinLegarie Now the other half is they probably need a Series S version of Helix and handheld version of Helix for the ecosystem to be viable at a mass market level. Selling a $900-1200 SKU will be niche

I still don’t see how Xbox Exclusives solve the console sales problems. If the PS5 is still pacing 2-3M behind PS4 global sales (that price hike won’t help) next-gen won’t be some mega graphical leap. Games will still be spaced out. And Xbox seems behind Xbox One. Most people aren’t in a rush for a $1,000 PS6 or Xbox Helix. It’s a complicated question All console manufacturers need to consider.

@AbdulBCRT @DestinLegarie Umm Xbox console sales and GP subs cratered long before that 4 game announcement. It’s those reasons why they went multi in the first place. Low player base and low GP subs. COD was supposed to fix that it didn’t move the needle so they had to slowly start putting games on PS.

@DestinLegarie It’s pretty simple Destin. Xbox Console sales and Game Pass subs cratered when Xbox announced they were going multiplatform (the infamous 4 games announcement). Going back to having exclusives at least gives them a viable shot for Helix to be a decent seller.

@MoBeatz1 @steakshapiro Also it’s not about limiting his scoring he is too much of a clutch player but to frustrate him and cause him to make ill advised shots that lead to fast break points that’s the Hawks game. He got 30 but he was 11 of 29 in the process.

In the end Knicks should win if they don’t heads will roll trades will be done and a new head coach if they lose this series. All the pressure is on NY the Hawks can play free and fast.

@MoBeatz1 @steakshapiro Don’t sleep on Dyson and OO rebound ability and especially Dyson and NAW defense all over Brunson. He will make his shots but they are definitely going to frustrate him. McCollum can go off on any night NAW has been lights outs and Johnson has a favorable matchup against bridges

We'll see more of that.And then add OG & Bridges playing defense on the wing with Brunson scoring on offense

No my point is that it appears every year in the playoffs there seems to be a team that would rather play the Knicks because of their regular season effort. The Sixers in 2024,and Pistons & Celtics in 2025.But they all lost to the Knicks in the playoffs

@MoBeatz1 @steakshapiro All true nobody is saying they are going to blow them out. On paper and I’m sure you will hear throughout the coverage leading up to the game this isn’t going to be an easy series for NY. I’m sure they would’ve rather had Cleveland or Toronto than the Hawks.

@AShortyfei @steakshapiro I'm just saying that to say, people need to be careful what they wish for. The Celtics got to see a different version of the Knicks than what they saw in the regular season last year. And that's because Mitch,OG,and Bridges gave them major problems on defense!

The last time they played they barely won if not for CJ expired made 3 pointer. They can beat them if they play their game that got them here. Defense turn into fast points.
