hEDS/IST (Dysautonomia)/MCAS, hemiplegic migraines, etc. The constant pain is the worst, having to pace myself to avoid flares because my body feels like it’s been dead since 1997 most days. 😂 I try to avoid pain meds and gabapentin unless it’s absolutely unbearable because I worry about the long term effects of short term relief.

Most people don’t realize how much energy chronic pain patients spend just trying to access care. ☑️ Documenting conversations. ☑️ Explaining our condition over and over. ☑️ Advocating for ourselves so we’re actually heard. All while already fighting our own bodies every single day. Patients shouldn’t have to wage battles just to receive compassion and treatment.
