Hi, I’m from Finland! 🇫🇮 X is my window to the world; it’s great to learn about daily life and traditions in other countries. My dishes are mostly homemade of organic ingredients. We eat a lot of different fish, have a crayfish feast in August, love wild berries and mushrooms.

Hubby wanted to have a pizza, but didn’t feel confident enough to walk to our local pub, so we took a taxi. The owner made us a tasty pan pizza with pepperoni, red onion, different bell peppers, pepperoni, chicken, peach and a lovely bunch of rucola, baby spinach, lamb‘s lettuce.

@PainterPay Thank you. Nice to see your familiar profile picture again! No, hubby doesn't drive anymore. I could, but when the car battery died two months ago, hubby didn’t want anyone to change it. He can't either, so I don't want to fight about it and I let things settle down.

@ASovij It looks wonderful. Do you no longer drive after dark? I assume he doesn't drive now. The pizza was worth the taxi fare, I feel certain. I am back with my penny-farthing bike after X took me off my new account & flipped me back onto this one. Go figure. LOL. Glad you are well.

+8ºC today. We‘ve watched the women's ski jumping on TV from Vikersund, Norway, the best jumped over 235 meters! Tough ladies! For breakfast: sourdough rye bread with cold smoked rainbow trout, capers and smoked lamb, avocado and orange, grapes, baked cottage cheese, coffee.

+11ºC today. The warm weather continues, so I need to start cleaning the garden and taking care of the berry bushes. For breakfast: sourdough rye bread with ice lettuce, smoked ham, avocado and egg, pickled anchovies and orange, strawberries, baked cottage cheese, coffee.

@free_style_chef Yes, he always likes to eat out. Unfortunately, his dementia affects his mobility and we can't go for much evening walks anymore. But we can always take a taxi.

My garden is full of birdsong and the sneezing season has begun! Alder pollen is carried by the wind from Estonia at the moment. Our alders will also start to bloom soon. 🤧 For hubby’s brunch: cucumber, pointy pepper, apple, avocado, orange, grapes, radishes, melons, cheeses.
