My cousin refuses to wear headphones when she’s walking home at night. Even if it’s her favorite song. Even if she’s exhausted after work and just wants to disconnect. I once asked her why she walks in silence through busy streets. She said, “Because I need to hear footsteps behind me. I need to know if someone is getting closer. I need to know if a car slows down next to me.” She told me she also keeps her house keys between her fingers before she even reaches her street. Not because she’s about to unlock her door… but because she was taught they could be used as a weapon if someone grabbed her. She memorizes which shops stay open late. She checks reflections in windows to see who is behind her. She texts her location to a friend and waits until she’s inside before sending, “I’m home.” Not because she’s paranoid. Not because she’s overreacting. Because being careful has been taught to her as survival, not fear. Some people walk home thinking about dinner or what show to watch next. Some people walk home thinking about how to make sure they actually get there.

Stayin Alive by the Bee Gees but without the music is wild 😂

🚨 Switzerland just declared US-Israeli attacks on Iran a violation of international law. Switzerland. The country that hasn’t taken a side in a conflict since 1815. An elementary school bombed. A boys’ school. Freshwater desalination plants. Oil refineries blanketed in acid rain. A civilian airport destroyed. Scores of children dead. When your war crimes are so egregious that Switzerland stops being neutral — You have lost the moral authority of the entire world. Spain said no. The UAE demanded answers. London marched. NYC marched. Switzerland broke 200 years of neutrality. And Trump is at a golf resort. 🔴 Live updates: allenanalysis.com

nothing could've prepared me for this video

Bald eagles getting lead poisoning from eating bullets is unfortunately just about the most American thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life
