The Mississippi River is the 2nd most polluted waterway in the U.S. It gets polluted by lots of plastic, sewage, sawdust, oil, and industrial waste. @franklinlorax #apeswaste

E-Waste can't just be thrown away like most household trash. So instead people should either use their devices for longer periods of time, repair their devices, or resell their devices. @franklinlorax #APESwaste

Its good that being safe and social distancing also leads to less CO2 emissions in the air.

High levels of Radon(radioactive gas) can cause lung cancer and Radon can be present in basements. That's why our house came with a radon reduction system.#apesair @franklinlorax

After doing the Kill-A-Watt lab I relized how much money is being used by keeping my lights on or just leaving a plug in the wall for no reason. So now I take the extra effort to make sure all the lights in my house are off when they’re not being used. #apesenergy @franklinlorax

@CCapstran @franklinlorax Hopefully in the future we will be able to use more clean sources of energy for our needs instead of using coal.

Speakers are a good way of listening to music at parties or hanging out. The energy used for a speaker is taken from an outlet which is taken from a Coal power plant. Electronics use energy from coal power plants and it is important to charge them. @franklinlorax #apesenergy

We need to start using more renewable energy sources like solar or wind power, before we run out of our coal and oil reserves. #apesenergy @vahsapes

With having to be at home because of corona, my little brother has used A LOT of energy by playing xbox. In order to reduce energy usage, we limit him to one hour a day and have now switched to playing outside which uses no energy! #apesenergy @franklinlorax

LED lights are about 80% more efficient than fluorescent and incandescent lights. 95% of the energy in LEDs is converted into light and only 5% is wasted as heat. Not to mention LED lights also last longer than traditional lights. #apesenergy @franklinlorax

@franklinlorax #apesland Different sized rocks allow for water to move through them more quickly or slowly than others. This is caused by the spaces between rocks that allow water to pass through, or porosity.

This is a map of the latest seismic activity. An average of 50 earthquakes a day and around 20,000 earthquakes in a year are recorded by The National Earthquake Information Center. Some of these earthquakes, however, are too weak to be felt . #APESland @franklinlorax
