Even though Basements can have high levels of Radon, a lot of basements should have a radon reduction/monitoring system.

High levels of Radon(radioactive gas) can cause lung cancer and Radon can be present in basements. That's why our house came with a radon reduction system.#apesair @franklinlorax

After doing the Kill-A-Watt lab I relized how much money is being used by keeping my lights on or just leaving a plug in the wall for no reason. So now I take the extra effort to make sure all the lights in my house are off when they’re not being used. #apesenergy @franklinlorax

Speakers are a good way of listening to music at parties or hanging out. The energy used for a speaker is taken from an outlet which is taken from a Coal power plant. Electronics use energy from coal power plants and it is important to charge them. @franklinlorax #apesenergy

With having to be at home because of corona, my little brother has used A LOT of energy by playing xbox. In order to reduce energy usage, we limit him to one hour a day and have now switched to playing outside which uses no energy! #apesenergy @franklinlorax

LED lights are about 80% more efficient than fluorescent and incandescent lights. 95% of the energy in LEDs is converted into light and only 5% is wasted as heat. Not to mention LED lights also last longer than traditional lights. #apesenergy @franklinlorax

@franklinlorax #apesland Different sized rocks allow for water to move through them more quickly or slowly than others. This is caused by the spaces between rocks that allow water to pass through, or porosity.

@HS514096apes @franklinlorax I remember when we did this lab in class. We learned that about porosity with different types of rocks and that sand could hold the most water compared to big rocks that are spaced apart. #apesland @franklinlorax
