#Kingston2025 brings you Kanthas of Friendship, a community project by @ATG_CIC based on traditional crafts, textile recycling and cross-cultural collaborations. Participants will learn the kantha stitch technique, block printing and practicing embroidery designs on samples.

New “Kanthas of Friendship” group has started at Kingston Museum alongside the K-Women exhibition. We will run our mindful workshops @ATG_CIC on Fridays 12:30-2pm until 13 Dec, then fortnightly from 10 January for further 2 months. Just come along. No need to pre-book.

Our new participatory project for Kingston 2025 “Kanthas of Friendship” has begun! Slowly we’ll be spreading our treads across the borough connecting all of the local communities and creating beautiful textiles for a public display to be revealed next year. #kantha #community

Time to focus on the flax. Since May I’ve been developing new ideas with @ATG_CIC for educational workshops & a new community participatory textile project based on natural fibres, sustainability & recycling. Last week the harvest begun! Our first two plots were finally ready 🙌
