[MUST WATCH] South Africa has already been subjected to misleading claims and propaganda of so-called genocide of white people and violent land grabs, which distort reality and threaten our sovereignty. We must therefore remain vigilant in safeguarding our own sovereignty and national security. #ATMInParliament

[MUST READ] The notion that any foreign national or group, regardless of how long they have resided in South Africa, can unilaterally establish a “kingdom”or install a traditional authority structure on South African soil is both unlawful and unacceptable. #ATMInCommunities

This morning we received petitions from flood victims and informal traders in Mthatha. Ten months after the devastating floods, many families are still living in temporary shelters while government promises remain unfulfilled. Informal traders trying to make an honest living are being harassed by law enforcement, with their stock confiscated and their livelihoods threatened. You cannot fail communities after a disaster and then punish them for trying to survive. People are not asking for charity. They are asking for dignity and fulfilment of promises already made.

Today we commemorate 116 years since the Prophet Isaiah Shembe established the Nazareth Baptist Church which is more affectionately known as kwaShembe on 10 March 1910. This is one of the first African Indigenous Churches in the SADC region. Its founder his holiness the Prophet Isaiah Shembe was a Messiniac figure who played a central role in the preservation of African Traditions and Culture. At a time when the dominant political epoch of the time sought to eradicate all that is African, uMqaliwendlela went against the tide and taught Africans that there was nothing wrong with coming to God as an African, He taught that you did not need to adopt white customs to be closer to God. For this reason, He can be viewed as one of the pioneers of Black Conciousness before it was defined as such by Steve Biko. We celebrate the Prophet and his work along with all Shembe followers.

Section 25 of the Constitution must be amended to prohibit foreign nationals from owning land in South Africa. Foreign ownership risks inflating land prices and limiting access for locals, undermining efforts to address historical dispossession.
